This is a kewel find for us as it is on a curve just past a bridge you pass under but that's not important right now. They have seating inside as well as outside next to a beautiful lake.
This is a great drinking bar which has a big menu. We only had drinks and tasty tots but we will return to try the ribs and clams, steamers I believe. I've got to eat some turkey first. My wife ordered a Coke and Makers Mark but they only had Pepsi! Let's protest and get a can of Coke for the bar! "Have fun without me!"

Attended a baby shower at this restaurant recently (so catered food experience). The atmosphere was very rustic and cozy (I LOVED the outdoor fire pit), and the food was diverse and so delicious! I'm looking forward to returning for a burger soon, as I got a peek at their menu while I was there. I passed this place every day on my way home from work for years and had no idea how welcoming it was!

Very nice atmosphere. Large menu with seasonal specials. Big portions, my wife and I got enough in our doggy bag for a second meal. No surcharge for credit card. I won't go to places anymore that have credit card surcharges. Will definitely go to Black River Barn again.

Such a beautiful atmosphere! The staff were friendly and the food was delicious! And the affordable prices were a bonus! Definitely recommend coming for dinner.

Fun place with good food and our server was exceptional. I wish I could remember his name but I believe he was the only African-American server in there so that should narrow it down. If you’re lucky you will get him as your server. Drinks were great and it’s a fun place.

Always a great experience at the Black River Barn. Come around sunset time for beautiful view off the back deck.

A very rare 5 star rating on my first visit. I've driven past this place for 20 years and never went in until today. Our server Nicole was an absolute delight!!! The food was amazing from start to finish. Everyone at our table was raving about their dish and none of us ordered the same thing. This was an absolute find and we will definitely be back. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this place. My second visit was not as good. The service was impeccable, the young lady who took care of us was great. However, the food was not up to par. I know they recently changed ownership and I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Always a great experience here. Every server I've ever encountered has been beyond helpful, offering their opinions on dishes and recommendations. Every staff member has also always been extremely welcoming! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. There is a bar area that is separated from the main dining area- as a diner, even when the bar is crowded, it's almost unnoticeable if that's something you want to avoid. The outside area is THE BEST part as it's on a small lake that can easily be romantic or just a cool hang out spot. Love it here!
