Pricey, but if you're at Terranea with the Lamborghini and several ho-hum Mercedes sitting in the valet lot, you already expected that. The space is beautiful with big windows looking out on the terrace and the ocean beyond. The service is excellent and very professional. Even if you are not staying at the resort they ask your last name and within minutes everyone is addressing you by your name. The wine list is good but a bit overpriced. The food is excellent. We had the fried deviled eggs. The whites of the boiled eggs were breaded in panko, flash-fried, stuffed with creamy yolk topped with shredded bacon, and sitting in a little pool of bright green basil and chive infused olive oil. Wonderful. The crab Louie was piled high with fresh Dungeness crab. The Caesar salad had a slab of perfectly cooked salmon. The dressing had just a hint of anchovy but there were plump white anchovies on top - a different taste and a far cry from the usual canned anchovies. Not a cheap lunch, but worth the price.
Good vibes. People working there is courteous.
My husband love this soup. Assort cheese were matched with wine we drink. I'd like to have more kind of cheeses instead of muffins. Cheeses are just 2 kinds.
I heard this menu 'assort cheese' has just come back 2 days ago, and actually it was not on the menu board at that time.
Brulee they gave us as our anniversary is very good. We'd never expected such a sweet surprise, made our anniversary more sweeter and nicer.
Salad and pizza were good but not more than my expectation.
Totally we enjoyed our dinner a lot especially by the vibe and nice staff.
Great place to get away for a bite too eat. Waitress was very kind. Our food was a little late so she took off my food on the bill 🙂. Other then that place was amazing very scenic.
The food was okay. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich. Along with the ribs sandwich and lava cake. The garlic bread with the garlic butter was delicious!
While on staycation here, we had lunch at Catalina. With the restaurant located next to the pool, it has a very nice outdoor dining environment.
The lunch menu included some great food options. For a quick lunch, the restaurant offers burger, wraps and salads.
I ordered an Angus burger while my wife got herself a Chicken wrap. You can get garlic fries to go with the dishes.
The burger is very good with great tasty sauce. The fries were not that good as they were soggy. Chicken wrap was fantastic and healthy.
I heard from the front desk when I checked in that the Catalina also serve very good breakfast. We Will try their
Breakfast in the morning.
(Forgot pics of the food because I was too hungry but got dessert.) We enjoyed the blt Caesar, the burger and the linguini. The crème brûlée cheesecake and bombolini were also a great note to end on. Obsessed with Terranea so I will take any excuse to go there. Self park and valet park options available.
This place never misses always friendly staff and great food!
