The food and service were fabulous. I had the lamb and it was perfect. We stayed until the restaurant closed and they were gracious because we were with good friends and we're laughing together to the end.
The only issue we had was at the bar before dinner. Our first bartender was very social...to the point he didn't notice we wanted another drink for a long while and we had to get his attention. Then our friends arrived and the other bartender brought our friends one drink but completely forgot about the other. Then we had to get our bartender's attention again to get that drink. They all seemed forgetful and too busy socializing to serve drinks. It was odd.

Varka is always on point-the bartender Stathi is so friendly and the service across the board is top notch. The food is always fresh and I have never had a negative experience at this establishment. Love it!
Went here first time . Tuesday night and this place was packed ! Wowo ! No place to sit ! When looking at the menu it was predominantly fish / sea food place . I saw just a couple of chicken items and few veggie . I think it’s mostly for sea food lovers …
My friends had fish / scallops/ octopus etc and they loved it . Grilled chicken was really tasty. Never had so much juicy chicken in other places. Fries were good . Appetizers were good too- spinach rolls , varka chips etc . 2 things - 1) it is expensive . Not a daily restaurant.. chicken entreee costed about 35$ !!!! 2) Service could be better ! We hardly see people taking orders , with so much crowd. If not for both these negatives , it’s good 👍

The food was A-mazing. We had roasted beets, charred octopus, angry lobster, and scallops. The atmosphere is romantic, the staff is top-notch, and the overall experience A+.
Absolutely a 5 star restaurant. The food here is outstanding there is nothing bad on the menu. You have to trust me as we tried about 75% of it the other day
Nothing says fresh like this!!!!! The best selection of seafood and everything was cooked to perfection. We had diner at the bar and Stathi our bartender was amazing, he went above and beyond with the service. He recomend all the food and we love everything; the octopus was exquisite. Between the food, and the service we had a memorable evening. For sure we will be back.
Went to Varka Restaurant tonight to celebrate a milestone birthday with my friend. I had heard great things about this restaurant and they were not lies. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Our favorite part was meeting Tony the Tiger who took great care of us. Thank you for a wonderful experience. P.S. the octopus appetizer was delicious, best in town.
No question about it, Varka Restaurant has the best seafood, shell fish, octopus and yogurt dessert that I have tasted. Service was courteous but could be a bit more attentive. Nice outdoor dinning area. Parking in back of restaurant.

This is a spectacular place for enjoying collection of amazing Greek style seafood. They collect the fish from different corners of the country, from CA to ME. The fish fresh, and cooked to perfect temperature. Lots fish option available, including building your own fish tower.
We decided to go to Varka at the last moment for our date lunch, after reading great reviews from fellow Yelpers. We arrived around Noon and got a table right away. We were welcomed by complementary bread, olives and radish. They were soooo many good items on the menu, it took us a while to decide on our entree. But it was worth while as all our items were just mouth watering. Grilled Octopus, calamari, lobster gyro, frilled fish (Loup De Mer), Galactibourico, we loved all of them.
This was one of our longest meal. We took around 1h 45m, because we were enjoying the food so much, we wanted to take the time to savor the taste and the experience.
We will surely had back to try other items. By the way, it got crowded around 1 pm, on a Friday.
