Just an AWESOME hot dog experience! This place serves a just about perfect hot dog. I got a Carolina red topped with chili, slaw, onions and mustard with a side of deviled eggs and every bite was sublime.
OMG! Steve's Place s/b listed as a MUST VISIT spot in Raleigh. By far, they serve the yummiest hot dogs you're gonna find. The fries, salads & desserts are top notch too. When we walked in the door it was like stopping by a friends place. The staff is friendly & welcoming. It was fun to see them greeting the regulars by name & a special treat when were back the next day greeted like family. I plan to pack a few hot dogs in my carry-on to enjoy on the plane ride home.
Had a great Reuben sandwich, and dad had the breakfast platter. The hit of the meal was the hash brown triangles!! So crispy, and perfect. All very good. Did not even know this place was here. Glad we stopped in.
Stopped by Steve’s for the first time. I had a great combo, with a slaw dog and deviled eggs. Excellent!! Quick, friendly, and VERY tasty. I didn’t know it’s also opened for breakfast. Definitely will be back. Good job!!
My new favorite lunch place! Wow! Cozy, bright, fun, delicious! Has my favorites from growing up, including Bright Leaf red hot dogs and red hots. Try the red onion sauce! And crickle cut fries...omg, I love it. I also got containers of tuna salad, chicken salad, and macaroni salad to take home for supper.
Got a smoked beef hotdog and turkey hot dog...both with same toppings. Ate one minutes after receiving it and ate the other about an hour later. Once I bit into the second one I knew which was which...the second was the smoked beef hotdog. This was a very good experience...different hot dogs should taste different. The smoked dog is now my favorite in the city!
This place is great. Hot Dogs (red, beef, smoked beef and more) are awesome! Deli items are great too. The best part of this place are the people inside. So friendly and they remember you.
I eat here quite often and I take my family here. The people are always friendly and helpful. The hotdogs are my favorite menu items but they also have great chicken salad and some terrific homemade cakes!
Best sandwich spot in Raleigh. Know their regulars, remember names, and the food is always terrific.

I loved the cool atmosphere of Steve’s! Their hotdogs and French fries are delicious! They reminded me off the hotdogs I used to get as a child at the local hotdog stand in my small town. The staff are friendly are very helpful! I’ve already recommended Steve’s to many friends!
