This is a good spot for breakfast. Good food and friendly servers. The grits were extra good. However all of breakfast was quite tasty. This is a local spot that had been there for many years. Good country cooking.
Love this place! Great place for quick country lunch. Simple country cooking done exactly the way grandma did it. If you looking for fancy, go somewhere else. If you want good, honest, stick to your ribs meals, this is the place.
This place is hidden off Capital Blvd and has really good breakfasts (biscuits, pancakes, eggs, bacon, country ham) and equally good lunches. I had a BLT and didn't expect to be impressed but it was the best BLT I have had in a long time. The green beans are like Mamaw makes and my son loved his ham

My husband and I eat at Gateway a couple of times a week; we love the food and the staff. It is a family-owned/run business that makes you one of them when there, and food served is "from mama's kitchen" ... meat and vegetables and plenty of them ... you won't walk away hungry!
