A few of my go to Indian food places no longer doing buffet options. So I randomly picked this place, and I had a great meal. The place didn't look fancy, and the plate is paper plate, but the tasty food made up all the differences. I forgot the name of a few dishes, but the fried onion ball is the best I've ever eaten. The grilled chicken and the chicken tikka masala are wonderful. All tastes above my expectations. The server is very friendly and diligent. I would give a little more tips. I saved this place in my map app, and looking forward to try again soon!

For a weekday buffet, it’s not bad. 14.99 per person and good for beginners who are introduced to Indian cuisine. Though if you want the real thing, you should look elsewhere as flavor and quality will be elevated and taste even fresher. Other than that it was a pleasant meal to try out various dishes they had in the buffet even though there wasn’t much, they had a small amount of selection that was good enough.

Wonderful food. Always try the sweet desert in the end as it is heavy and make your stomach full. My favorite was chicken biryani, masala chai, vegetable karahi, and butter naan. I ate the buffet. If you like cold beverage then mango juice is good too. I tried almost everything. The tandoori chicken is good too. I spent $18.39 for dine in buffet

This has been my go-to Indian place for years. The food is always incredible and I've yet to go to anywhere in the area with better tasting Indian food. It's kind of on the expensive side but all Indian food kinda is. I'm sure I will keep going here for many years to come.

We've been here a few times for the lunch buffet, and it was really good! Tonight we actually came in for dinner, and both the food and the service were wonderful. A very good Indian spot worth going out of our way to enjoy.

Today, I had a penchant for Indian buffet. Post pandemic, it's been harder to find Indian buffets or buffets of any sorts. I narrowed down Dharani Express after going through google reviews (much like this one). True to what they say on their website, Dharani Express is a no-frills place. I set my expectations accordingly and then the unexpected happened. The food was awesome! Yes, they have paper plates and plasticware - which is the no-frills part, but the food was flavorful with the right level of spice. The buffet stations are separated into 5 sections: paper plates and plasticware, chutneys and naan bread, a veggie section, and a non-veg section along with dessert and some salad. For my first round I tried out Paneer Tikka Masala, Baby Corn Manchurian, Bonda, Rajma, Tindoora Curry with Naan. Unlike other Indian Buffets, each of the dishes had their own flavor profile, texture, and taste. All the dishes tasted great. For the second round, I leaned more on the non-vegetarian selection. It consisted of Chicken Korma, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, The Tandoori Chicken was ok, but the rest of the dishes were great. I really liked the Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma. The last course was dessert - Mango Custard with pineapple pieces. That was the cherry on the cake. The sit in buffet will set you back $17.99, which I think was totally worth the binging. There is a carryout buffet option for $11.52 for 16 oz, which I think I might try out next time. Eitherways, this place is highly recommended - no-frills, good food, with a decent ambience.

I was on a short trip to Cary and I was searching for hotels for Indian cuisine. I found a few of them there and had them tasted in the first week. I was able to taste the very close South Indian food here which was great where I could hardly find elsewhere in my short trip. Most of the flavours really connect back home food except for the biryani which to a certain extent assume and understand. The buffet was too good for me. I had a welcoming experience from the restaurant people always which adds to the overall experience. If you are looking for good South Indian flavours just go for it.

Not any fancy place but good value for money. Food takes a bit longer to appear but it’s good enough. They can work on freshness of items a bit and customer service has suffered a lot during pandemic but it’s convenient price and comfortable location. Should try. I am coming back after a year to edit my review as Google won’t allow to post a new one, the place under renovation is now completed and lovely. Food is good as usual and good value for money. Decorations are traditional and minimalist, making an inviting ambiance. Should try the place with new vibes.
