We were looking for a tasty place to get a drink and chat late on a Sunday night when we came across the Oak and Dagger. Even though it was inching towards closing time Amanda and the other staff were kind and accommodating. We had a great time and fantastic food. The patio was pleasant and the bathrooms were clean. I would definitely recommend them!

We just moved here from Charleston so we’ve been trying to check places out. We decided to go downtown for a bit and stopped here. We were greeted right away by our server. She was very helpful. The food was good, so was the beer, and they played good music.

I came for their Annual Yule Ball. The staff was friendly and the food was great. They tapped their new Winter Ale and even created a gingerbread version. Their Coole Beans brown ale has a roasted coffee bean taste and smell. I really enjoyed this place.

Went to get some pub grub after a recital across the street. I got a lager and my wife got a darker beer (nice selection). Also got some food - the bavarian pretzels and beer cheese were great! My chicken burger was alright, so were the waffle fries. Not too expensive and the staff was very friendly. They have a bunch of board games to play so the kids had a good time. Going back to try the other beers soon.

Great atmosphere, awesome bartender, great beers. I also had the seasonal lemonade, which is far and away the best hard lemonade I have ever had. Highly recommended!!

Love the outdoor patio. Great beer choice and so far the ones we've had were excellent. Tried the vegetarian crab cakes and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The accompanying sauce was great. Hubby said his burger was excellent. My salad was fresh. Our waiter was friendly and prompt. Great experience.

Craving fish and chips, I stopped in for take out. Bartender was very friendly and allowed me to order at the bar, offered a soda while waiting. A great place to sit and people watch. The order came fairly quickly even though the place was busy. The fish was perfectly done in a light batter, but the portion was small, the waffle fries were tough and chewey and had probably been sitting for a while. I still give the place 5 stars for great fish great atmosphere and friendly service. I'll go back again...

First visit and will definitely be back. I had the Not Irish Pub Burger with a side of fried green tomatoes ($14.00) and wife had the Flaming Dagger Chicken ($12.00) with fries. While slightly expensive the sides would be a few bucks extra at most places. The burger is 1/2 lb. with bacon, hash & fried onions and is huge. The fried green tomatoes were the best I've had. Wife reported her 6oz. chicken was excellent. I also had a 10 oz. Stout ($3.50) which I did like. The staff and fellow diners were friendly.

We were fans of tyler's taproom so we had to go try oak and and dagger when we found out they had taken over the space. We were not disappointed. The beers were incredible and the food was delicious, varied, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the coffee brown ale and the three cheese burger. One of the best burgers I've had in Raleigh. We will be back!
