Stopped by here to grab a quick bite and the place did not look too busy. I had one slice of pepperoni pizza. I just ordered one because I wanted to try it but did not expect it to be so big. The pizza slice was HUGE! For the price of $6 I think it was worth it. It was a good slice, not perfect but good. I bought a marinara sauce too so I could dip the crust (I would recommend a dip because it's a lot crust). The staff was young and kind of entertaining. It started to rain hard and wasn't so busy so some of them ran outside into the rain to check out how hard it was raining, and got wet.They were laughing and having fun which I did not mind but I can see how to others it might seem unprofessional. Saw a family eating next to us kind of give them a look. The staff was kind though and was ready to help us when we needed to order.

I was born in New York City and grew up on classic New York style slices. Anyone who's ever been to New York knows the luxury of having ready to order pizza at all hours of the night. Outside of New York, this luxury is hard to find, and when I moved to Raleigh, I found most pizzerias in this city to be average at best, and even the decent pizzerias close by 10 if not earlier.
Benny Capitale's surpassed my expectations in every way. The pizza here is simple (the two main options are cheese and pepperoni), but mouth-wateringly good. The cheese, bread and tomato sauce taste exactly like a New York slice, but the shop (on weekends) is open past midnight, so just as I could bar hop around and drink before satisfying my late night cravings with some pizza back home in NY, now I can do the same in Raleigh thanks to Benny Capitale's.
What makes their pizza stand out is not only how good it is, but how large the average slice is. Benny Capitale's does not make small slices: their slices are roughly twice the size of the typical NY style slice, which means twice the pleasure.
Benny Capitale's succeeds in making me feel more like I'm back home. I didn't think it was possible to find incredible pizza in the south, but Benny Capitale's has restored my faith that great pizza does exist outside New York.
Huge slices of pizza with great flavor. Drink options were in a fridge and not as cold as I’d like. Atmosphere was a teen hangout which wasn’t great and staff were really loud laughing with each other but I’d go back for the slice! Especially the garlic mushroom that was really tasty.
Visiting Raleigh/Charlotte NC from Upstate Ny. So we're very familiar with NYC style pizza. The garlic mushroom pizza with chicken was very delicious.(Just as good as back home if not better ). You should definitely check this place out. Service was top-notch, Evan and Alyssa were great, the food and service that they displayed were very good definitely will be back when visiting in town..
The pizza was huge... I just wish it had more sauce and and little more cheese on the cheese slice but overall it was okay. My son loved his pepperoni slice
It was my first time visiting this spot. It's on the main strip of downtown Raleigh. My sister had previously been there and suggested that we go there for lunch.
The pizza was great and more than enough. The slices are so big that they have to use two plates to put your 1 slice on. There's not a lot of seating in there, but it wasn't hard to get a seat either. The service was great also.
I will be suggesting Benny's to more people because it's a great place if you want GOOD pizza.
I'm in love with Benny's Capitales, the pizza slices are huge and such great prices......the workers just help bring the place more together so nice and welcoming..Melissa was the cashier today , she was a delight . Over all the place is just amazing and the food taste good I recommend it 😊
HUGE slices. Good for lunch, but great for after the bars. Given their hours, they know this and are capitalizing on it! Their prices kind of reflect this, too. They're a bit high, but not so much that it feels they're taking advantage of you. Current staff seems like high school/college kids - they're pretty friendly and do an alright job. Thumbs up from me.

The biggest pizza slices around the triangle area! If you’re looking for a large amount of pizza that tastes decent, this is the place. It’s nothing special but the size is massive and it’s $6 per slice. The inside was pretty run down but the style of pizza was similar to New York style pizza and definitely cool to try!
