Food, service and atmosphere was all great! Very limited seating is the only drawback for me. We arrived early so wasn’t a problem for our party of 6, and staff was super nice and pushed tables together. We ordered one cheese pizza, one white pizza with mushrooms, & olives, and one cheese/sausage/olive pizza. Ranked in order#1- plain cheese! Just a great sauce that wasn’t disguised by other topping flavors, #2 was white and #3 was sausage. Crust was thin and crispy, very nicely done and sauce was delicious. Also ordered the Reg. Caesar and it fed 4 adults. The price is good for such a large, delicious pizza. Highly recommend! Parking: beware of the “permit needed after 4 pm” areas. Don’t get towed! There’s a pay to park lot 1 block away if you can’t find free street parking. Gotta work off those pizza carbs anyway right?

Overall Rating (1-10): 5.5 The takeaway experience from Oakwood Pizza Box was slightly disappointing given the high expectations set by its Google reviews. The limited menu also lessens the likelihood of a repeat visit. Takeout Process (1-10): 4.8 The online menu was straightforward, and the convenience of Apple Pay meant no extra information was needed for the order. Although there was clear communication about pickup time, having to wait outside was not the warmest welcome. The pizza being lukewarm on collection, having been left on a metal rack, was a downside. However, the separate packaging of fresh basil was a nice touch. 18" Red Pie (1-10): 5.9 This pizza stood out with its high-quality sauce and the perfect amount of tasty cheese. The major drawback was the dough, which was overly chewy and tough, not matching the well-cooked underside of the pizza. Value (1-10): 7.9 The price of $20 for an 18" pizza of such quality seemed fair and represented good value.

It’s totally fine pizza. Nice crisp bottom so you can pick up a slice and eat it. They give you fresh basil which is a nice touch. The pepperoni has a good flavor, but the cheese slices on their own are unremarkable.

Great gluten free pizza spot in downtown Raleigh. Delicious 18 inch white & cheese pizzas. Beware that there is only one size pizzas here. There are no personal pizzas or sizes smaller than 18 inches. If you want to dine in, get here early to secure a spot or swing by to put your name on their waiting list. Seating is limited so it fills up quickly. Parking may also be limited as it is street parking.

Best pizza in Raleigh. Been coming here for years and not only is it great, it’s consistent. Pizza comes out fast and hot and the basil is fresh. Nicest staff always, even when there are new faces on the crew. Waiter knows me by name! Open kitchen that’s customer facing so you can see the ingredients and the process. Great beer and wine as well

We had heard about this place offering some of the best gluten free pizza in the area, so we wanted to check it out. We finally had the time to go down and were not disappointed. They have a small outdoor seating area, which was great for today since the weather was so beautiful. The service was great and the gluten free pizza was phenomenal. The crust tastes like the Caputo flour we use at home that is gluten removed. This is the closest pizza dough that we've ever found, other than a pizzeria up in Baltimore that used the Caputo flour in their crusts. They don't have a ton of topping offerings, but just enough to please either a meat eater or a vegetarian, like myself. The pricing is also pretty spot on, so this is definitely a place we'll go back to.

Oakwood has phenomenal pizza. We’ve been twice now. First time we went we were able to sit immediately which made me skeptical but after tasting the pizza I was hooked. We went again yesterday and had to wait almost an hour to get seated. The pizza was just as good as the first time. This place really has their stuff together- everyone from the pizza makers to the servers does a phenomenal job. Just wanted to say thank you to all involved that make this place great.

Oh yeah! This pizza was very good. Crispy crust and sauce is some of the best I’ve had. This is borderline the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Can’t wait to go again.

Hands down best pizza in the triangle. Phenomenal house salad, too. We've been coming here for years and typically sit inside the restaurant. This particular Friday evening, we were late heading out and decided it would be faster to order our pizza and salad to go. When we arrived, there happened to be an open spot at the outside window. We were able to order a beer and glass of wine for the wait. This gave us the perfect seat to observe two superb gentleman, Josh and Alistair, as they manned the cash register and the to go orders. It was a particularly busy Friday evening and these two guys were exemplary in how they handled the rush and were absolute gems in their interactions with waiting customers. They were so polite and positive to ensure an excellent experience. Our dinner was delicious as always, but our front row seat to view the customer service at Oakwood made a lasting impression! We were blown away by how professional and cordial Josh and Alistair were during the chaos of a Friday evening. Not only best pizza in the triangle, but also best customer service!

Praise be. 9.9 out of 10! I witnessed a Miracle on 12/15/2023, first table, 8:45pm. I ordered a pepperoni, jalapeño, honey circle boy, ate it, and went to heaven happy. Life is complete and I fully understand my purpose on earth. Do yourself a favor. PS my fiance is a herbivore and also enjoyed it. Win win.
