If you’re likely to be surprised by ALL deep fried menu AND large portions; consider sharing. The hush puppies were a delightful discovery for a tourist. Family friendly and great wheelchair access and parking.

Great food and the portions are big! The price was good! Really no complaints. I would suggest better signs leading the way to find it. I had a little trouble. Other than that everything was great!

Such a great place. The food is impeccable, the staff is friendly, and the tea is sweet. Fresh seafood prepared expertly and competitively priced. Building is styled like a coastal warehouse and adds to the experience. Well, well worth the search to find this gem.

Great seafood spot located right at the NC State Farmer's Market in Raleigh. They only have fried food here but have at least been talking about broiled options for over a year. Fried food is good though, we usually get jumbo shrimp (regular size are just too small), fried flounder, fried scallops and fried clam strips. Everything comes with hush puppies and cole slaw, both are ok but nothing to write home about. Drunks are unlimited and only $2 so very reasonable. For 2 regular plates and drinks we spent about $40. Line is usually long but goes very fast, you can have your food in about 15 minutes.

If you like fried seafood, this is the place! The staff was friendly, the place was busy, and the food was delicious. Shrimp, flounder, scallops, oysters, hush puppies and a little slaw filled the styrofoam container. My wife and I split the Captain's plate and we had enough left over to make another meal! Will definitely return!

This was a really cool surprise place! My bf got oysters and shrimp and I got the sampler and it was delicious! Too much there but it heated up great in the air fyer that night! Everyone was so friendly! We will return!

Great food fast. Lunchtime is busy yet they take care of their patrons rapidly with smiles on their faces. You feel appreciated. All tables are clean, as they are vacated the staff immediately cleans them as well as the benches.
The menu is obviously seafood, you have choices and everything is prepared well, very tasty and LOTS of it!
We enjoy going to NC Seafood while shopping at Farmers Market, it's a favorite.

Great seafood! If you get the shrimp, be sure to get the Jumbo 🦐. Lightly breaded. No servers here, order at counter and wait for your number to be called. This makes it faster and no tip:) Seating is picnic tables. When it's busy it's common for people to share tables which are large.

Best fried seafood served by the nicest people. NEVER got a bad meal here, just a matter of how amazing it is. I like the deep fried, flaky basic breading (traditonal Calabash style) and the option to season how I like (hot sauce, old bay, salt, tarter or cocktail). Prices are higher than a couple of years ago, but where are they not?

My favorite place for seafood around the triangle. The portions are absolutely HUGE. My fiancé and I split one large 2-choice combination tray and we hardly put a dent in the shrimp. Fried cod is to die for. Slaw and hush puppies are always delicious. The people are here so nice, too. It’s as popular as it is for a reason. 10/10

Great price for the amount of food given. The food is so delicious! This place has been open since 1991 and used to have a sister restaurant in Durham called Kemps Seafood. This is fresh seafood cooked right in front of you!

It's better than the seafood restaurants at the coast. The shrimp is lightly battered, not overcooked, and the portions are huge. Kemp is so friendly towards all of the customers. I highly recommend going here.

I have been going there with my mom and grandmother since I was 8 and the food has never been bad at all. The more I go it seems the better better the food gets. I try go there as much as I can cause you can’t beat the prices and how much food they give you. I recommend this place to to anyone!!

Had a very fresh and wonderful 2 pcs. Combo. Trout and popcorn shrimp. Not a lot of natter and had just been cooked. No heat lamp food that's soggy. Recommend to everyone.

Love this place! If youre looking for fancy, this isnt your place. But if you just want good food, good service & nice people, you cant beat it. Service is good. People are nice & has a southern cafeteria feel!

We delivered a load of onions to the Market and they were super nice let us park our Big Truck in the back gravel lot so we could look around and eat !!! The food was fantistic !! We had jumbo shrimp and Catfish . The staff was so nice and helpful hopefully we can make a delivery there again so so we can dine at the seafood Reataurant keep up the good work !!!

This place was absolutely amazing. Fast and friendly service and great tasting food. The fish tasted just like the fish sold in St.Louis. It was nice being able to have food with that home style taste while vacationing.

Pretty sure they're now selling sole here not real flounder. Damn shame I loved this place until they lied to me and called the fish I received (no skin) flounder, saw me Googling it and offered to replace it. That was 24 minutes ago....�
They also have great sweet tea when they're tea urns are clean! Today they were not. �

Tasty food and plenty of it. Shrimp has nice seasoning without alot of fried excess. Hushpuppies some of the best around. Always try to stop and eat there while at Farmers Market when lines arent long. Its popular which speaks direct to the quality!

The fish and hush puppies were delicious but you said french fries were served but it was actually potato wedges! Potato wedges are not french fries! Since I only like fries with my slaw I wasn’t very pleased. Also we were there at 4:00 and you were out of lemonade.

Oysters, potatoes, and hush puppies were excellent. Slaw was good. Avoid the crab cakes and scallops!!!! If you can't do them justice, remove from menu. Will try clam strip ... I hope they are whole. I don't eat crappy tilapia from China and I couldn't determine where they were from. I'll try the trout next as well, if they are from NC.
