Aviator Restaurant

Best restaurant I have eaten in in upstate NY! Put this one on your list for a special occasion destination. My wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner and can't wait for another special occasion to return to this pricey but worth every penny restaurant. The sun was setting over this charming little airport and a cool little Cesna was parked right outside our window side table. It only got better from there. Our server was very professional and formal but not stuffy. Chef Cheyenne is incredibly creative with both flavor combinations and presentation which you can see from my pictures and we wish we could have tried everything on the menu. Everything we ate was attractively presented and incredibly deliscious. The beet and goat cheese salad was mouth watering and the filet mignon and rack of lamb melted in our mouths. We finished dinner with a delightful apertif and dessert pairing. A very creative end to a very creative and wonderful meal and I snapped a picture of the menu and the propellor on my drink, which yes, I would normally say is kitchy, but we were having such a good time we liked it anyway.

Phenomenal experience! The food was nothing less of excellent and I mean excellent!!! Everything tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is so gorgeous on the inside. Old world decor but reimagined for 2019! The small airport and mountain backgrounds create a surreal picture outside. Great service with professional staff. Appetizers came out quickly which was nice since restaurant was fully booked. Overall this was the BEST MEAL we had on our vacation to Lake George!!! 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.S We also came in without reservations on a Saturday night and they were very kind and helpful and were able to seat us.

Our dinner and service was good. At the end we paid in cash and did the gratuity % wrong by accident. The manager came over in front of the whole place and scolded us on our gratuity percentage when it was a mathematical error. I'm glad she got the proper percentage now, but the way he handled the situation was very unprofessional. I own a service industry business and would never address a customer in that manner. Good food, but will spend my money elsewhere now.
