10/2/23 Still the best pastries in the area.
Best Roti shop in the area. Lots of vegetarian options for breakfast in the morning but very limited in the evening. The pastries are scrumptious.
When my husband and I moved to Queens Village in 2017, this was our go-to spot for authentic Trini/Guyanese pastries and snacks. Their prices are fair given the location. The food has also consistently been good. We live in Westchester now and whenever we go to Long Island, we HAVE to stop here! The staff are always so kind and courteous. We will remain loyal OVRS customers! ♥️♥️♥️
Good food, more importantly great attitude when serving customers. Positivity is what I look for when being served my food that im paying for. This place have it.
excellent food , Always fresh. the staff are superb workers, always smiling, always working.
It's my neighborhood indigenous roti shop. It's one of the best places in Queens to get your pastries The best chicken patties pine tarts and cheese rolls. The food on the menu is exceptional. Always very freshly done for you. friendly atmosphere, service is exceptional. Love going there once in a while every time even though it's close to me to visit
So happy I found this spot. Reminds me of home cooked guyanese food. Everything I've tried so far has been so good, dhall, cookup, chowmein and my favorite is the fried rice. 😋
I’d give them my right leg to find out what their puff pastry and chicken patty filling is made of . Literally the best place for pastries ( Pattie’s , pine tart , cheese roll, etc) . Their puff pastry alone is worthy of the 5 star review . I can’t say much about their actual take out food
Excellent Roti! The boneless curry chicken was amazing! The service is fast and the servers took time to explain the food options. Looking forward to our return for more. 😋
The cookshop (as the Guyneez would say) didn't have that stenchy smell & the food was good. My Treeknee-American friend & I enjoyed our curried shrimph & goat. It was a former EISS classmate (not gine say her name) but, is formerly of Zeelandia village, Wakenaam island who had recommended this place. Anyway, I will run guh back to get take away...soon. Likkle more, as the Jewmaycans would say. 😉
I had these wonderful people as my last minute rescue team!
If it wasn't for their kind consideration and thoughtfulness, my aunt's last minute 80th birthday celebration might have been a flop.
Natasha and her team were kind enough to accommodate us and omgosh, the food was very delicious and exceeded our expectations.
The guests kept compliments and inquiries coming about the food that was catered from these wonderful people.
My cousin went to pickup the food was happy and relieved to see the huge letter A on their door.
Meant that this restaurant has exceeded the public health requirements for excellence.
Keep up the great job, you wonderful team at Your Village Roti Shop.
You're a savior 🙏
Michelle.
