Grabbed lunch here in downtown Putnam. Salads and service were great! Very nice lunch portion sizes. The delicious cup of chili was very meaty with all of my fave toppings. I'll probably get the bowl next time.

Great little bar. The BEST grilled cheese I have ever had. I got the Sinatra and my daughter got the Shatner. Both were FANTASTIC. They have live music almost every night but unfortunately we had to leave before it started that night. Friendly and welcoming bar tenders. Yummy cocktails too.

My fiancee and I do a new restaurant every week as part of our date night routine, and this is honestly the first restaurant/bar we've visited that we are absolutely, wildly certain we'll return to.
This place is the real deal. Amazing service, friendly people, and INCREDIBLE food that is abundantly clear was made with care and a the menu a labor of love from those who make it.
We didn't break the bank, even with apps, drinks, and entrees, and had plenty of leftovers. The atmosphere is like the basement of your uncle who traveled the world and collected art and knick knacks from everywhere he went, and a small stage in the corner gives space for local artists to add even more energy to the room.
Do yourself a HUGE favor and try this place out, you absolutely won't regret it.

We saw Chris Stovall Brown. He puts on a great show, excellent guitarist!
You should try the bacon brownie with cyan cream cheese!

The food is super creative and they have a lot of gluten free (GF) options which is amazing! They have either live music or trivia every night so it's always a good time. Sometimes the service is really slow and some of the bartenders can have an attitude but most are super friendly

A very chill environment with friendly, happy employees. Service and food were great. We got the BBQ wings. We have been looking for great wings since we began our trek from the West coast. The wings served at The Stomping Ground are at the top of the list.

Cute place. Waitress was friendly.. Had creamy, cheesy Mac n Cheese yummy. Others had Mac n Cheese with Buffalo Chicken, Crab Cakes,Onion Soup and a sandwich called Sinatra.
Everyone left full. Thanks Chef, Good job. Would definitely go again.

Hands down, the best bar trivia night I've ever played. Brian, Simon, and Jon have an infectious hilarity with their banter. Afterwards, they'll rock your socks off with an amazing musical performance.
As for the bar, great beer selection that's always bringing in new options. The interior's fun and eclectic, with a massive dragon hanging from the ceiling. There's also live music just about evry night of the week. Overall, the coolest place in town to hang out.

If you love cheese, this is the place for you! If you love eclectic art, this is the place for you! If you love funky, creative cocktails served with enthusiasm and a sparky personality, this is most definitely the place for you.
It's not often I give 5 stars, but, this place earned it from "hello"!
The vibe is funky and cool and the artwork beyond amazing! Take a few minutes to explore and admire the pieces on the walls and hanging from the ceiling! Nice live blues music on a Tuesday? Are you kidding me? Finally someone knows music lovers go out during the week too!
Our server (foolishly forgot her name) doubles as the bartender and was incredible to chat with. We started with drinks; I had the "Margster Mash" a margarita with muddled fruit, hubby had a local draft. Both were wonderful and went well with the Spinach Artichoke Dip we ordered for our appetizer. Served piping hot with blue corn tortilla chips. Delish! For entrées we each tried the specialty Mac N Cheese. Mine had Buffalo Chicken and hubby went with BBQ pulled pork. The nice thing was the ditalini pasta used. It made the cheese the star of the show instead of a typical elbow or even cavatapi! This chef knows cheese and how to blend them perfectly. The menu is small and yet full of choices! This is going to be one of our go to places from here on!

My first time to this quaint organic based bar in my hometown of Putnam CT. The wings were definitely worth ordering. Will try other flavors on my next visit here. Gorgeous bar tender too.
