Places like this are rare. It goes beyond making good food. It’s the creativity and palette required to put together a menu that makes you want absolutely everything. I love those places. These are the places that immediately tell you it’s going to be a good time days before you even step foot in the door. It’s cozy, warm, and very inviting. Expect incredible service, knowledgeable staff, and the perfect amount of attention. Our server navigated the specials like hr wrote them himself. He played to everyone’s interest and made recommendations that aligned with our interests. Needless to say, this was by far the best meal I’ve had in ages. No better way to spend my birthday. A million thanks for making our evening perfect.

Dinner at Perfect Caper in Punta Gorda last evening was nothing short of extraordinary. Every element—service, food, and drinks—was executed to near perfection, providing an unparalleled dining experience.
The appetizer selection was a tantalizing introduction, featuring foie gras club, salmon tartare, warm goat cheese, escargot, and focaccia. Each appetizer was a revelation in its own right; the foie gras club was so superior it eclipsed all memories of its regular counterpart. The warm goat cheese provided a melt-in-your-mouth experience while the perfectly baked focaccia was the epitome of perfection. However, it was the escargot that undeniably took center stage, delighting our taste buds with its exquisite flavors and textures.
These starters were masterfully paired with a chablis wine, a thoughtful choice that elegantly underscored and complemented the diverse flavors on our plates.
The mains continued this symphony of flavors with crab scallops, duck n' frites, accompanied by side dishes of lobster mac n' cheese and salmon. The crab scallops, set atop black rice and bathed in a light lemon butter sauce, danced with vibrant flavors. The duck could have been better while the salmon—according to Mohit—was unparalleled, the finest he had sampled in a significant span of time.
Our beloved Chateauneuf du Pape accompanied the main courses, its robust and sophisticated profile enhancing and elevating the culinary delights it accompanied.
To conclude our gastronomic journey, we indulged in desserts paired with a 40-year-old port. The chocolate bread pudding and a uniquely heart-shaped raspberry financier graced our table. The financier was particularly outstanding, a dessert so exquisite it could only be described as ‘to die for’. Each bite was a celebration of finesse and culinary expertise, a fitting end to an exceptional meal at Perfect Caper.
Simply put. The food was amazing. The presentation, timeliness, fresh and hot.
We stopped in for lunch, I had the tuna salad sandwich, and my wife had the lobster 🦞 mac and cheese. They were both devious, but the lobster mac and cheese was outstanding. A definite must-have if you have a meal here.
The restaurant is well kept and clean. Our server was attentive and amazing. We were seated promptly. Served beverages in a timely manner, all with a smile.
This is one of the few restaurants in this area for fine dining at a reasonable price.
5 stars from me, and I hope you give them a try!
Our first at the Perfect Caper and it was wonderful. Hubby took me to this restaurant for a formal birthday dinner and I simply loved it. True to its great reviews, the ambience was quaint and the menu offered a nice variety. We ordered the Potato leek soup, Mommas Chicken and Chicken Falouta which were delicious and the portions was decent too. The staff gave us very nice customer service. Peanut butter bites were my complimentary birthday dessert which was very cute and yummy. Highly recommend.
Fabulous waitress named MaryJane. Very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, attentive and thorough.
My husband and I ordered the fried shrimp apps. Myself, the filet, he the pork chop. The food was served hot and very delicious!
The seven layer chocolate cake with espresso ice cream never disappoints us. Ate it too quickly so no photo.
Thank you Jeannie for stopping by to say 'Hi' and chat about your new restaurant in R.I. named 'Ella's'.
What a fabulous experience once again with the food and of course the congeniality of our waitress MaryJane.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary with a good meal, we had a GREAT meal and service! Mary Jane you were awesome, glad we had you as our server♥️ Def will see us again…
this place is a gem, creative menu, fresh ingredients, amazing presentation, great flavors.. all coupled with impeccable and warm service.
Good food, very clean, including restroom, enough nearby parking. It's a bit pricey but worth it (including 20% tips, $100 per person). Ambient music low enough that we could talk without problems.
