Been wanting to eat here for a while now, decided to stop by with my family on the way home. Turned out great! The food was amazing. Very fresh and seasoned well, the only thing I noticed was the menu was smaller than your "typical " restaurants menu but I beleive I could of picked anything on the menu and still left being very happy and full. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable about everything. We were extremely happy.

Had been waiting to eat here for awhile..had a friend come to visit so we checked out Al’s- good food especially fried green tomatoes, friendly atmosphere, beautiful decor, and the waitress was super sweet. Will come back again for a visit :)

This place is wonderful. The staff is super friendly and professional, and our server was amazing! The ambience and decor are very welcoming. And most importantly the food was excellent. We had the wings and french dips for lunch- both delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area to mark this place off your bucket list. We will return!

There’s always a risk with ordering food “to go” no matter where you go, but me & my husband were so happy about our order the other night! Not only was the service amazing, even over the phone, but our food made it the extra 35 minutes we had to travel before even eating. It tasted so good, warm, fresh - as if we were in the restaurant eating it. I was just honestly surprised because food to go is rarely that good. It was also so affordable - top quality dining experience even from the car to our kitchen table. I wish I could give 10+ stars. We will be returning & telling everyone about how good the experience was all together. Thank you!

This review is sent to inform others to only go to Al's when they can order from the regular menu. We have been to Al's several times and were always impressed. However, this evening, New Year's Eve, the Chef's special menu was all that was offered. That being the case, we assumed the food would be even better/more special than in the past (which was superb). We ordered the seafood sampler and it was terrible... the Chef obviously has no idea that a crab cake is suppose to include crab meat and not be "mush"; the scallops were overcooked, and the shrimp was too dry! The only thing worth eating was the loaded baked potato.
Our waitress, Tiffany, was excellent. She was extremely nice, helpful, and gracious.
We have highly recommended this restaurant in the past, but no more. Not even sure we will ever return! Very disappointed!

Best service we’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. We traveled from Florida. The food was tasty and the drinks were good. The staff was friendly. Very clean and professional. I’ve worked in the restaurant biz for 7 years and never seen hospitality from a manager like i did from the manager Tasha , she was amazing and made our experience. She even made friends with our little one. We appreciate her effort to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Definitely recommend this spot and will hopefully be coming back.

Al's is an awesome Southwest Virginia fine. The staff, atmosphere, and food is consistently awesome and topnotch every time. Be sure to try their pimento cheese appatizer. And they have a good bourbon selection too.

Both times we've been here the food has been excellent. Much to our disappointment the dining room had downsized, but the food and service were still great. I love this place and would highly recommend eating here. Our son ordered a Reuben and chips, my husband got the Prime Rib with aus jus, and I got the Cheeseburger and fries. Our food took a minute but it's worth the wait.
