Found it!!! The perfect, best lobster roll in Provincetown! Lobster cooked fresh every day. Delicious toasted brioche bun with a bit of butter. I got the 6 ounce size, the smallest size, and there was so much to relish! Also had some of their clam chowder… it was the best I've tasted in ages!
Spic and span clean inside, the staff is so nice and great… And you can tell they put very good energy into their food. Thank you so much, you guys are great!

You can get some of the best lobster on the cape at this place! Go for the “Gilded Lobster” that comes w/ avocado & Swiss cheese and you won’t be disappointed. We now plan the P-town vacations to make sure we eat at Box Lunch multiple times. Julie & team always show us great service & plenty of the hospitality that tells you that P-town loves its summer vacationers. Love ya’ll!
Such a cute little place and the staff could not be friendlier. The lobster they bring in fresh each day - and it was absolutely delicious. We had the grilled lobster and the lobster roll on brioche. The grilled lobster was different, it was served hot in a wrap and had melted cheese and avocado. It was their signature dish and it was pretty tasty. My sister enjoyed this the most. I’m more of a lobster roll gal. And let me tell you, I typically do not like cold lobster rolls but this was unbelievable. It was freakin delicious!! Personally would drop the tomatoes and lettuce next time, but not even a deal breaker. And they do not skimp on the lobster. They were so nice, they brought out our sandwiches as soon as they were made and wanted to know what we thought after. I will absolutely be back!
Last summer we discovered this little gem of a restaurant and just went back to see if our first experience was a fluke, or was the lobster roll as good as we remembered.
No fluke. These folks make the best lobster roll I've had in . . . well, forever (and I grew up in Maine where the lobster roll is an art form).
Served with a smile, this was another great escape from the hustle-bustle on the street above the cafe. The clam chowda was pretty damned good, too (not the best, ever, but close).
We'll be back!
This place is absolutely phenomenal! The sandwiches are great, and the chowder is one of my favorites in the entire cape! Don’t even get me started on that brownie! It shocked me too since it’s just a sandwich shop, but even the lemonade was heavenly! Free refills too! The owner was so sweet and helpful as soon as we entered. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

AMAZING!!! I just can’t say enough about the owner, Julie and her restaurant! They truly put their heart and soul into what they do. Julie catered our beach wedding that was supposed to be on a chartered sailboat out of MacMillan Warf but a last minute mechanical problem left us without a venue. We were devastated and we had 5 days to decide what to do as we had relatives coming from out of state so postponing wasn’t much of an option. Julie actually helped us and even offered to call the necessary people to make it happen!! Julie also agreed to deliver to our wedding on Herring Cove beach!!
Now let me tell you about these lobster rolls!!! Holy smokes!!! These were the best lobster rolls we have ever had and this is coming from people who have had many a lobster roll from many places along the East Coast. These are hands down the best!!! They are served with very little mayonnaise and on the most deliciously fresh and toasted brioche rolls. Seriously, treat yourself to the best of the best!

Lobster rolls were fantastic!! Clam chowder was delicious! The basil lemonade is a must! Best thing about Box Lunch were the ladies running the show. They were very friendly and engaging in conversation by asking questions about our daughter starting at Northeastern and congratulating my wife for becoming empty nesters. People like these ladies and their employees make a place like Box Lunch feel as though you are eating with best friends and a place I thoroughly enjoyed. Box Lunch is high on my list of my all time favorite restaurants.

box lunch is great spot for breakfast or lunch in p town but i’ve had some ups and downs there. they make really good lobster bisque and clam chowder. in my opinion it’s the best lobster bisque in town. other great options are the gilded lobster which is normally done in a wrap but if you ask for it in a roll they will do that too (that’s how i had it), and the lobster roll. while this stuff is great i have had some things i didn’t enjoy such as the chicken caesar wrap, the wrap itself had a bad flavor and the dressing was not caesar dressing. i also did not enjoy the sausage, egg and, cheese which seems basic but i asked for it on a bagel and they used scrambled eggs and sausage pieces so everything fell out. the service is also very slow, i know then get busy but you can wait upwards of a half hour for a sandwich. for the most part they are nice but one time i had a miscommunication where i asked for a bagel and they gave me a wrap and when i asked if it could be redone they said “it’s always done on a wrap”. while i understand that is what they’re known for i think that was an inappropriate response for a customer and it made me not want to go back. i am still recommending them because things like the bisque and the gilded lobster are so good but be very clear if you want to make a modification to any order.
Lobster roll was fantastic! Bread was super crispy, lobster was plentiful and the sandwich overall was delicious. I personally don't love celery which is the driving force behind the 4. I would recommend this place if you're in the area for a quick bite!
