We came for the pistachio crème brûlée, but we were so, so impressed with everything we had to eat! I had the saffron paella and would absolutely recommend it. The portions are generous and the flavors are amazing. The pistachio crème brûlée was better than we expected, and we found out that our server, Naomi, was the pastry chef. Naomi was attentive, answered all our questions about the menu, and just made the whole experience better. We will absolutely be returning!

I am a hard critic when it comes to food, but I've gotta say Plate is doing a great job. I have been super impressed with their food, especially lately. Our steak burgers were perfectly cooked, juicy and seasoned perfect. Our buffalo shrimp was awesome with a nice big portion, and our french onion soup was delicious. We ordered to-go this time and the service was fast, super friendly and they just knocked it out of the park!! I have gone here since it opened and it has gotten better over time. Check this great little spot out if your cruising through town!

Wife and I got gift cards there for Christmas, and overall it was an okay experience. Super friendly staff and a good selection of food and liquor but the taste to price ratio was way off in our opinion. Ordered the 50-day aged ribeye medium-rare, and it was less tender than the steak bites and less flavorful. Didnt wow us. Just "meh," Scallops were delicious, calamari was too. They don't skip on the liquor on drinks so that was a plus! Overall though, the pricing seems almost inflated as our economy for similar things I could've gotten at Edina grill/Redstone/Brick n Bourbon for half the price.

I don't post reviews very often but I have to say, this place was Excellent! From the warm, cozy atmosphere to our awesome server Deborah. And, of course the food was Excellent as well, I had the Saffron Paella which was amazing. I also enjoyed a great Old Fashioned. We even met and talked with the Chef and Owner at the end of the night, super friendly and welcoming. Please try this place, you won't be disappointed!

This is the first time I have ever left a review. I have worked in the service industry for 20 years, from fine dining to your local bar. This experience was a first in all of my years. We made reservations for bar seating. When we arrived the table they sat us at was quite small & cozy with the 2 tables on either side of it, so we asked for a different table. They let us know it was being used for 2 different parties. 10 min later they seated two ladies at the table who walked in & requested it. The table was not the issue. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, followed by dinner. Once dinner came we ordered another round of drinks. The server then followed up by dropping off the tab. To our surprise, we let her know that we were not finished. We had planned on another round of drinks, coffee and dessert. She said we could take our dessert to go, but they had another reservation waiting for our table. I had just been served a full martini that I didn’t get to drink and had to box my dinner to-go. We did speak to a manager, who said they were sorry, but there was another reservation. Adam the GM was working and did nothing either. We paid the tab, tipped the server and left. I called and spoke to the manager/owner Matt on Monday before leaving a review to see how he was going to handle this situation. Not once did I raise my voice and nor did he, although he was very curt. I explained the experience we had at the restaurant and he let me know that the server could have done a better job of letting us know that there was another reservation coming in. He followed that up by saying, “You should have let us know that you were planning on staying that long. He rudely asked if I expected to have that table all night?” I replied with, “ No, I was not loitering, we had an almost $200.00 tab for being there in just under 2 hours. I expected to be able to have dinner, drinks and dessert.” He let me know that this has NEVER happened before. So what he is saying is...No one has ever dined for over 2 hours. In the middle of this conversation he said, “Thank you” and hung up on me. I do want to say the food was good, so this is nothing against your chef. The owner did ask if I had left a google review, I did let him know that I had not. I was waiting to see how this was going to be handled. A review is not something to be taken lightly. In this case he didn’t care what kind of review I left. I am more than appalled by how this was handled. Word of mouth is worth a lot for businesses and our friends couldn’t wait to hear all about The Plate. Unfortunately this place has terrible customer service. I would not recommend to anyone.

As a resident of Prior Lake, I value having PLate on Main as part of our business community. During the covid restrictions, I ordered curbside pickup many times to try to support the restaurant and ensure it's continuing operations. The food served is great! Where I have an issue is with the menu descriptions vs. the food delivered to the table. Tonight, I ordered the Scallops which according to the menu included sautéed asparagus, sea scallops and garden risotto. When the plate arrived, I had the scallops and the risotto but no asparagus. I pointed out the missing item and was told that the asparagus was in the risotto and that the menu was "confusing". I replied that the menu was not confusing but rather it was misleading. I may have had 3 small slices of asparagus included in the risotto. Not three stalks of asparagus just 3 small slices. Skip the Scallops because the menu is deceptive and you're not getting value for your money.
