Mezza Luna

This has to be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The service is beyond incredible, friendly staff that are also super attentive in everything they do. I came with my family to celebrate my birthday and I had no expectations coming in as I only heard about it through a family friend. I only came here once and I am definitely coming here again. Phenomenal food that also came out on time to absolute perfection. I gotta find time to come here again. If anyone who works here, keep up the amazing work that you do. Thank you and I hope come here again soon.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we loved It. The food is delicious, great customer service, we were seated immediately, and the service is quick. Before we finished appetizers main course meal was already on the table. Dessert was the best part. It had everyone in the restaurant looking. They bring a whole kitchen in front of you to make the dessert below ⬇️!!

La Mezzaluna is quite a gem in downtown Princeton. Not only does it offer great food it also is a BYOB, one of the very few in town. We had an early reservation because we were attending a performance at McCarter that evening so we were able to snag one of the tables in front making for great people watching on busy Witherspoon Street. By the time we left at 7:15 the place was packed. We started with the eggplant rollantini and the pumpkin ravioli. Both were very tasty with the eggplant tender and, as the menu says, stuffed with delicious cheeses while the ravioli well spiced if possibly with a little too much butter. Next we shared the warm braised duck salad which was wonderful with an amazing dressing and lean flavorful duck shavings (almost like pulled duck). Finally we enjoyed the rigatoni and the chicken parm. The rigatoni had an amazing cream sauce and tender, melt in your mouth pasta. The chicken was beautifully done and probably the best I have had in a long time. Service was a tad slow due to limited staff but they all worked well together and did deliver an excellent experience. One commendable addition to the menu is the Mr. Roger's meals. According to our waiter the restaurant prepares 30 meals each on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to feed the less fortunate in the Princeton area. You can contribute a meal to this cause by simply adding it to your check. We contributed a chicken parm dinner. You may want to consider partaking in this community outreach if you can. We enjoyed LA Mezzaluna and I am sure you will too.

La Mezzaluna Italian Restaurant at 25 Witherspoon Street was highly recommended by the Front Desk at the Hilton Doubletree, Princeton, New Jersey. On Sunday, June 12, 2022 I reserved a table for 9. We were having a small family reunion of siblings who had not seen each other for nearly 20 years and others who have never met. Although parking nearby was a bit of an issue, our entire party arrived on time. We were promptly seated and Mateo and Marjorie were assigned as our servers. These two individuals did a phenomenal job in taking care of each one of us. Their attention to detail was superb. The food was well presented and totally delicious. Its wine selection is outstanding. I must commend Mateo for his tremendous sense of humor and patience in dealing with us, especially with my older brother; who was constantly joking with Mateo. His attitude and that of Marjorie made our dining experience a tremendous pleasure. It’s a shame that we only had the opportunity to visit once; as we were traveling back home to San Antonio the next day. If you’re in the area, by all means, visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The service was a bit slow, but the food was excellent, I had delicious linguine with seafood, a simple dish that is easy to screw up and make so-so with dry shrimp and bland pasta, but this one was juicy, tender and flavorful. Sword fish was great as well by other people's accounts. Add BYOB with a liquor store literally next door, outdoor seating, one block distance from the main drag and you have a winner. They can accommodate big parties easily.
