Dee Thai Express

I never leave reviews, but a review has to be left for this place! I live 4 hours from Prescott and visit every couple of months and this place is the first on my list where I have to get food before I leave! I craaaave their red curry all the time. Their food is incredible and if you like curry, definitely give theirs a try!! The employees there are also incredibly nice!

Until Aug. 2020, I would have given this restaurant 4 stars although the food is not quite as good as a couple years ago. (Definitely not as good as Thai House.) But now, during the Coronavirus pandemic, I do not appreciate people who are careless with my health & safety. The young waiter was not wearing a mask (although the two cooks were). When I asked him "where's your mask" he mumbled something but did not mask up. I do not plan to go back, even when Thai House is not open.

The Pad Thai was not up to par AT ALL! There was no taste of the peanut oil whatsoever, and instead the noodles tasted as if it sat in cabbage all over night. Saving grace was the shrimp but still had to take a swig of my drink to drown out that cabbage taste after each bite. Asked for a large white rice to share with my wife and was given a container that is a small at every other restaurant and was told that WAS their large when I tried to clarify I asked for large. I'll give them another shot because I get that some places may have an off day. Leaving this at a 3 star and will adjust accordingly after my next visit.
