On Saturday we met my in-laws at Club D'Est for some steaks, my mother-in-laws birthday and some holiday cheer. Our waitress, Amy, was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive to our needs but wasn't interrupting our conversations. The steaks & salad we had were also great. 3 of us had the ribeye and one had a ginormous chef salad that honestly would have fed the table. My wife and I were in our holiday attire and even took some great pics with Amy photo-bombing us. All-in-all, a great drive from Wichita for a very enjoyable evening. The food was overpriced and bland on every account. I get the feeling they don't have any seasonings at all in the kitchen, and the meat tasted like it had been cooked from frozen. Half of my steak was overcooked, the other half was ok on that front but super bland.
Seems like more of a hang out and drink spot for locals. The place is old and creaky, and I got the impression that they thought it was fancy or something. It's not. Maybe 60 years ago it was.
I guess I don't have a whole lot of nice things to say. If I was traveling through again, I'd skip this place.

We ate in the Uptown Cafe and was very disappointed. The chicken fried steak was not good. Roast beef was old and salty and the potatoes were instant. Wait staff was pleasant but not attentive.

This place was amazing. I had the best steak (Blue Cheese topped steak). It is easily best the taste of higher price cuts off meat I have had. And the staff were great. I would recommend this hands down.

Exactly what the doctor ordered. Amazing food, good prices. Excellent service Pam was wonderful. The serving sizes were out of this world. I couldn't finish it all. WOW!! That's kinda a big deal because that doesn't happen to me very often. I'm going to take the wife there next weekend when she comes down to visit me.
