The Lamplighter Inn

For a last-minute trip, overall the hotel was not bad. The two issues we had was the night we checked in, we got there late. However I had called ahead to let them know. I had to wait in the lobby for about 20 minutes after a 14 Hour drive. The front desk clerk was sleeping and not answering the phone. The second issue was one of the beds had the springs poking out of the side. They gladly moved us rooms

The bed was comfortable and the room was nice but I had to clean the toilet as it was nasty and there was still stuck on soap on the sink from the previous guest so I’m very disappointed with the cleanliness especially during COVID-19. Also the entrance to our room was apparently an ally for smoking whic was even more disgusting. Especially for someone who doesn’t smoke.

This hotel is soo dirty! They haven't used a vacuum hose EVER! And when I told them how dirty it was they said the vacuum hose was broke. So go down to Shopko and buy another vacuum! They are under construction right now, no pool, no hall carpet, filthy! And even though this is going on they are still charging a higher price and the booking sites do not say the pool is closed. Flimsy towels, flimsy bedding and I have doubts that we had clean sheets. Just don't stay here. Go to Cody or Lovell and stay someplace clean and comfy.

This is all about cleanliness and a business being a good citizen. We are in a pandemic, but also need too keep our economy and world running. To do that, we all need to take precautions, do our part. At this property, Employees not masked. No hand sanitizer. Halls and stairs not vacuumed or cleaned. Every door slab visibly dirty (which made me wonder about the handles). Second to worst experience of 9 state trip.

We had no problem with the staff but terrible cleaner assigned to our room (203). It is understandable if did not permit you to clean our room. We expected for the towels to be replaced. However, the cleaner took a "do not disturb " card placed on our door. We brought our son to the Northwest college and spent the whole day registering and setting him up at school only to return to meet the room not cleaned. The front desk lady assured me she will look up the camera footage and never said anything about it again. She gave us replacement towels, soap and lotion and apologized. This behavior is not good for the hotel. I stayed every week at the Super 8 in Grants, new mexico and am yet to experience that. However, the room is good. Thanks
