Top Flight Bbq

This was our first visit to Top Flight BBQ. They are a little hidden and we didn't know about them until now. Our meal was delicious! We got the family meal with the brisket. It was so tender! The owner heard us discussing whether we would like the brisket or not and cut us a sample. All 4 of us loved it. We also got the mac and cheese and beans. These sides were delicious as well. Their pricing is excellent compared to other BBQ restaurants. They have seating for 8, but we took it to go. We will be coming back often!

So so good! Definitely a hidden gem in Powell! The Brisket was so tender and juicy. The sauces complement each other exceptionally. The baked beans and mac & cheese were both outstanding. The cornbread is like a sweet treat and the end of the meal with a very nice honey glaze! The Owner is a super kind guy who really cares about his customers!

Powell what a hidden gem! The BBQ is the best in Powell and gives you something different versus all the fastfood places. I had the potatoes salad and baked beans for the sides and they were excellent, no "from the jar here" all home-made. Loved it, loved it! I'll be back and would rather give my business to locals when the food is awesome! Thanks Top Flight BBQ, see you on my next trip!

PROS: Fantastic beef brisket, the best I've ever had! Great BBQ, sides, and a proprietor who clearly takes pride in his craft. Five Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CONS: The last four (4) times I've been there he was closed during published business hours. Perhaps he was just catering all those times? Perhaps he felt no need to staff the store or post any revised hours of operation? Perhaps he is smoking all the meat he can manage by himself and just bales for a day or two for some unscheduled peace and quiet? Too bad for me; too bad for everyone else... 😕 BOTTOM LINE: I'll keep trying until I see plywood in the windows. If you catch him OPEN, stop by and support him, the food is that good.
