It's a place with very little put into the maintenance, and while this may not have much to do with the food itself, it began the question of how well they are maintaining their cooking place and utensils.
The service is at best below average. The lady was curt and impatient when taking the order because I couldn't understand her accent, and she had to repeat a couple of times. When I went here they weren't serving any deep fried chicken dishes which is what I usually order(like general tso's chicken). The food itself was OK, nothing impressive but OK, earning a star(ordered moo goo gai pan with brown sauce).
I would recommend other nearby places with better service.

If you are looking for Americanized Chinese food, then please leave here and head to P.F Chang or somewhere else. This place is not for you.
If you are looking for a well decorated place, with fancy look dishes, then please leave here and head to H.Y Asian Cuisine or Hong Kong House.
If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, then there's no better place in Columbus area for you to try (unless someone you know who can cook at home for you). It's a typical family owned restaurant. They only cook what they have been cooked for decades. I think that's much more better than some restaurants here (which hire bunch of people with 0 experiences with cooking).
For most Chinese in town, this place is the top choice for them.

One of the best asian restaurants in central Ohio. We make it to China Bistro at least once a month for quality authentic dishes. It's also worth the drive from Columbus in my opinion. I would recommend visitors try authentic dishes if possible, you won't regret your decision, and it might even change your perspective on asian foods (if uncommon to you) as I know it has for me. Frozen Tofu and cabbage soup, pork with flat tofu, various dumplings, and many others are all excellent. Interior atmosphere is no-frills, simple decorating, and minimal seating, but don't let that discourage a visit. Service is always good, and food arrives very quickly. Prices are comparable to many other restaurants as well. Recommended.

I have gotten food from here in the past and enjoyed it but I just tried to place an order with Door Dash and it was immediately cancelled. Why have a delivery option and allow customers to go all the way through placing an order just to immediately cancel it because you are "too busy." Sorry, but I have never seen this place "too busy." Deactivate the option of placing an order if you are just going to cancel them.

The food here is WELL worth the money. Considering the part of town it's in, I would have expected much higher prices. I was pleasantly surprised to get a larger than average portion of food for about half the price of what other places in the area charge. I got Crab Rangoon and the Kung Pao Chicken w/ Fried Rice. The Crab Rangoon was pretty good -- I could actually see crab meat! The fried rice is a little different but I really enjoyed it; bigger pieces of egg, not as greasy as others, and the bean sprouts and scallions were a nice addition. The Kung Pao Chicken was made with (what looked like) jalapeños which made me skeptical at first but it ended up being some of the best Kung Pao I've had; the vegetables were crisp, the sauce was perfect, and the dish was sufficiently spicy! Once again, portion size was very generous considering it was only like $5-6. Others in my family got Sesame Chicken and Pepper Steak. The carry out order was ready within 15 minutes, the lady who handled the order seemed very friendly and outgoing (rare for Chinese restaurants in my experience).
Overall, I've heard that this restaurant is more of an authentic take on Northeastern Chinese cuisine. I personally enjoyed it very much, but those who are less adventurous and want more Americanized fare might think it's just OK. The prices are very low compared to other places in the area, but the portion size is definitely generous. I will definitely be going back for more!

have no idea about why there are all those good reviews. I'd rather eat instance noodle at home. ordered two dishes, both came out as salty modified Chinese dishes. Wow, unbelievable.
