If you’re in the mood for a hefty Italian meal then this is the place. Food is consistent with other locations. Generous servings , tasty and full of cheese so make sure you can handle it. The service was great, ample parking out back but can get full on busy evenings.
This Mom and Pop pizza place is awesome. Pure good vibes as soon as I walked in with the peppy hostess and even the customers outside on their way home were smiling at me. Filippi's has a very neat, clean and well decorated style. The pizza tastes homemade with quality ingredients by someone who knows what they're doing, verses a chain company. I'm definitely coming back here to try more items on the menu, especially their desserts.
Parking lot is always, but there is usually seating available in the Dinning Room. If you love cheese, then this is the pizza for you...just ask them for 'well done' so it is cooked through and a little golden brown on top.
Boyfriend said this place was essential SD. So we went...right before hittin' up Poway candy cane Lane (but after hittin' that tokerewski). Could it be biased then, this review?
NO! This spot is legit!
Walked in Saturday night, expecting a wait. And we were right. But don't trip, it was only 30 minutes. Also, we can't be too upset as we rolled 2 deep at 7:30 for the dinner rush.
Having said that...worth the wait. LOTTA cheese, a perf amount of jalapenos and the service was on point. Big smiles, constantly seeing how they can help the customer and a good team dynamic.

Always a good time at Filippi’s. We got 2 pizzas to share and had lots of leftovers to bring home for later. The pizzas here are LOADED with cheese so if you are into it then this is the place for you. If you’re not then I would suggest ordering other items! The pizzas are very filling, gooey and delicious!
We always have fun going to Filippis. Big portions. Be prepared to bring some food home.
Been living in Poway for the last 28 years and this was the first time I've visited this location... And let me tell ya, the wait was worth it. Good dough and we asked for easy cheese so it was a good ratio of everything. Definitely a more Italian spot than a New York pizza sort of place so plan accordingly
Filippi's is simply the best.
Excellent food, large portions plus good prices. What more could you ask for??
