Alex's Restaurant

Our first time eating indoors with our kids since the start of the pandemic - we had stopped at Mill House only to immediately leave when we saw none of the staff were wearing masks and the place was super crowded. So happy we ended up at Alex’s. ALL of the staff wore masks and everyone kept masks on when they left their tables. The restaurant was warm and cozy but not overly crowded. The service was SPECTACULAR - Karen was so sweet!!! - and the food was great (according to my 4-year-old daughter, the blueberry pancakes were AMAZING). :) Many thanks to Alex’s for making our first indoor dining experience with the kids in YEARS so pleasant!!!!

What a lovely lovely place!! We really enjoyed our brunch at Alex’s. Had a very friendly waitress, who accommodated my kids well and took good care of the whole family in general. The food took quite long to arrive but was super delicious and it was just fun to sit and wait. The place was buzzing on a late Monday morning, and the prices were cheaper than I had expected. Will definitely revisit whenever in the area again.

One of the premier eateries in the City. Great food recipes with variable options and courteous staff to ensure an excellent dining experience. Ideally located on the corner of Market and Main street in downtown Poughkeepsie, the business is accessible from a network of thoroughfares. The surrounding areas are a hub for businesses that ensure this location is continuously busy. The business space is cozy and quite friendly. Parking is located on Main St. with a requirement for parking meter fees. Additional parking can be accessed by the use of public parking in close proximity to the location. Varied hours of operations. Mon-Fri 8am- 4pm, Sat&Sun 10am-2pm. Great place for American and Italian food.

This restaurant is the highlight of the downtown area. Everyone (customers & staff) is pleasant and happy to be there. The quality of the food is incredible as is the service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very comfortable. And, it's one of the only restaurants that plays background music in a pleasant way.
