What a gem of a neighborhood market and prepared food place. Amazing prepared foods and delicious custom-made sandwiches! Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive. The service is absolutely fantastic! My hat's off to the owners of this shop. I definitively recommend this gem of a place.

This is my favorite grocery store in the world. I have been a weekly customer since 2015. I’m posting this now because I just returned from the store and devoured a pint of their vegan mushroom soup. It is epic. I did add some excellent spicy curry powder. Why do I love this store so much? First the staff is the best. Friendly and professional even in this time of COVID. Second, the seafood is the best you can get other than directly from the boat. Not surprising since the owner was a fish wholesaler and, Max, the head fish guy, has been famous in this area for finding the best fish. If Oprah knew of this place, she would order them here rather than G&M near BWI. Max is a foodie. He has told me often exactly how to prepare various fish and meat dishes. Each time my prepared dish was over the moon. The prices are fair for the very finest quality and customer service in Potomac Village.

I made my first visit to Potomac grocer in search of high quality seafood and was not disappointed. The gentleman behind the counter could tell I didn't necessarily have a plan, and was able to steer me in the right direction with some probing. When I wasn't particularly fond of the pieces of halibut on display, he happily went to get some more from the back and cut some new filets to my weight specifications. He even asked how I planned to cook it and offered his expertise. The fish was not only noticeably fresh and high quality, but was beautifully cut. I would happily venture out of my way to come back here for seafood.
