I was there on Sunday afternoon. I ordered spicy stir fry noodles but was not available after 3pm. I got broken rice with scallions on top along with fried egg, lemongrass pork, and side of lettuce & pickles roots vegetables. It was good. I also cambodia sausage but has hair in it. I walked over to the counter to returned it but no apology. He did make me a new one.

What a fortunate find on our road trip to Portland. We built our own rice plate (com tam) that has a base of pickled carrots/daikon, cucumber, rice with scallion oil, and a side of fish sauce (nuoc cham) and topped it with twice cooked pork butt/belly with lemongrass glaze (heo ham chien) and steamed pork/egg meatloaf (bot chien cai xoan). The pork was so juicy, smoky, sweet, and savory and was well complimented by the fragrant rice and sides. We waited less than 10 min for our order and enjoyed eating in their small, self-serve outdoor area. There is plenty of street parking and a bathroom for customers.

Great place for Vietnamese food. Stopped in after seeing it on the NYT list of restaurants to try, and it did not disappoint. They were out of alot if menu items and there was very limited seating, but the food was fantastic. Would definitely stop in again next time I'm in Portland!

NYT '21 50 best and '20 James Beard, but you wouldn't guess that by tasting the food. An American/Chinese/Thai fusion that refreshingly embraces less common asian ingredients and styles, and then proceeds to ruin it all with american sweetness, too much salt, sauce and oil; and high prices. Like orange chicken, it appeals to certain tastes, but authentic it is not.

This is some of the best food I’ve eaten. The menu is creative and the food is delicious. The service is also very good as they are quick to prorate the food and I appreciate the pick up window. It is our favorite dinner spot in Portland. I was not surprised to find out that the place has been nominated for a James Beard.

Very, very good. The NYT was right. The spice level was perfect, the umami-ness was perfect, the menu is compact in a good way. Best fried rice I’ve had in years.

Loved Cong Tu Bot! Seriously the best Pho I've ever had;it was really well balanced. My husband's dish was super spicy but he liked it and appreciated that they weren't shy with the spice. The inside is really cool with lots of plants, a really nice vibe! We sat at the bar and while it was cool to watch the chefs cook with the open kitchen I would have preferred a table.

This hip little spot serves Vietnamese food with a twist. While their menu is small, their dishes pack a big flavorful punch. When we visited, it was takeout only. We got the chicken pho, Mom's fried rice, and Bún chả. Those dishes were delicious. I especially enjoyed the pho and fried rice. Give this place a shot!
