Visited this establish on a whim last night for a takeout order. I got the beef and my wife got the veggie (both with rice). I was pleasantly surprised with my first round of East African food. Beef was a bit tough, but the portions were great.

First time trying some take out from this place and I was impressed. We had the goat and beef with rice dishes.. it was delicious. Food was like a home cooked meal, very flavorful. I want to try their chicken next time because I will be coming back for more.

I wasn’t even planning on getting any food at all but after I walked by and smelled what they were cooking here I had to turn around. I just said chicken and rice cause it seemed like a safe bet and I hadn’t even glanced at the menu. They barely spoke to me, barely looked at me, walked into a humble kitchen, and faster than you can say “fall off the bone” came out with a box full of food that is still one of the best meals I’ve eaten this entire year so far. Even as I eat it after it’s sat in my fridge at home for almost ten hours, it’s still in my top three African meals I’ve enjoyed in my life. I had a ten dollar bill and a twenty dollar and she only asked me for ten dollars. She also let me get a sprite. They are the cold, African aunt and uncle I never had.

This is not the place to go if you judge Restaurants by the artwork on the walls. This is the place to go if you want to try a delicious new cuisine of Somali food. They offer a basic menu of rice or pasta with four different kinds of meat and it's only 10$. It was very delicious but there is some issues with customer service. They gave us the appetizers and the entree one minute later. They gave us lemonade but forget the glasses. Hopefully the owners read this and change that! However all the tables were full on a Saturday afternoon and it appears to be run by a couple women. Come here for a delicious new culinary experience not for fancy tables and environment. There is also masjid al-Noor next door.

Wow the food is amazing! Goat falls off the bone, the rice is so tasty, plus perfect little garnishes make it simple, yet flavorful, with big portions. I can't wait to get take out from here again!

Bad service really bad. The price for Rice with goats 13$in the menu, but they charge me 15$. She said the price increased!!!! And the food wasn’t that great it’s wasn’t that tasty. It was my first time and last so save your money for better food.

FInally got to try this place, and it was good! We tried all their breads; anjera, muufo, and japati. Anjera: kinda similar to the Ethiopian injera, but this was less spongy, less sour, and has some crispier crepe like edges. No egg or milk I was told. Muufo: This wasn't what I expected based on my online reading. I thought it would have more of a cornmeal flavor, but it was still pretty good. Thick and spongy good to dip in sauce. No egg or milk I was told. Japati: Pretty much the same as Indian style, this was actually pretty good. Tasted the freshest out of the 3, and tasty compared to Indian food in town. Has butter. I also got the Veggies and Rice. Got a ton of rice, tasted very buttery, good and fragrant, very filling. Veggies were pretty good too, spinach, onion, carrot and some other stuff. Their hot sauce was pretty good too, tasted fresh, good medium (5/10) spice level, but not too sharp didn't burn the tongue or gut. BTW when I went in, wasn't sure if they were open. They were remodelling ,Open sign was turned off, but someone was there to take my order. Satisfied!
