It's just okay. Inside is decent, there's enough seating. Biggest issue for this place is going to be parking. There is zero parking for this place except for a couple street spots. I will admit serving sizes are very generous but that's where the good ends. Unless you like salt and I mean LOVE salt you're thing to walk out of here parched and let down. The complimentary salsa was VERY salty. BOTH my wife's chili Verde meat and my carnitas meat were ALSO VERY SALTY. Pricing here is pretty high imo especially for Mexican food. Having lived in Vegas for 6+ years I grew very accustomed to quality Mexican food. Not feeling this place. I've come to realize that Portland doesn't have very good real Mexican food.

My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner here this evening. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and I really liked it. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the crust was crispy without being greasy. It came with rice and refried beans, sour cream and guacamole (which I asked not be included on my plate) A solid 4 star dish, I would eat it again. My husband did not like his meal as much. He got carne asada fries. He had two complaints about the dish. First, The fries were just regular shoe-string fries from any bag you can buy at the supermarket. While they were relatively tasty it was the price that made him take notice. For 9.50 (or 9.75, I forget which) he expected some hand-cut fries or something different than the fries he got. Second, his carne asada meat was cut up a little smaller than he expected. Overall this place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and we will be back.

This is a great new and much needed neighborhood tacqueria. Looks great inside and most importantly the food is excellent(and well priced!). I’ve been here a few times now and would say that everything is really good. If it’s your first time, try to the tacos! The pastor taco is my personal favorite. I’m also looking forward to trying their breakfast menu soon. The salsa bar is a great addition too. The salsa macha is particularly good. There’s more I could say, but honestly, just come see for yourself!

The salsa and chips bar is so good! They have a bunch of salsas that are all really tasty. They have a green creamy one that is especially delish (and not too spicy!) The burritos weren't very good one time we went, but everything else we've had has been good! The asada tacos were so delicious and their burritos bowls are good!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Portland. The service is impeccable. Do you have particular dietary requirements? They'll work with you. The super friendly service makes me feel like I'm coming over to a friend's for dinner. The mole is on point. They have a variety of tacos. Bomb tamales. And the best self serve salsa / chip bar in town. Worth your time to seek this spot out!

Fantastic place - the staff is passionate with delivering an outstanding experience in both service and quality. The lengua tacos are the best in town. Salsa bar a great perk with a wide range of spicing and flavors. Assortment of tequilas and beers with bar seating available too! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

The waitress was amazing and the food was super great. The happy hour prices blew my mind, especially in the Hawthorne neighborhood. Those portions were large and the drinks were strong and delicious and their menu is extensive. If you find yourself on Hawthorne and looking for a burrito, taco or nachos, you'll do yourself a service by checking out Los Amigos Taqueria. ¡Lo prometo!
