Some pretty tasty sushi at this local restaurant. We were able to sit in booth and chat for quite a while, no pressure to leave, staff friendly and attentive. We ordered some from the menu and ate some from the go around. It was fun experience.

There were great rolls a few months ago. Beautiful, delicious. Now, several times, they are terrible. And I no longer see the chef who really tried. I got on pickup ugly rolls. It looks unappetizing. Why are all the crab salad rolls? All taste the same. Bad cutting. Dirty napkins. The woman at the entrance is nervous and rude. Reducing the grade from 5 to 2

I’ve been coming here several times a year, and I’ve been pretty content with the below satisfactory customer service. Mainly because it’s hard to find good sushi places nearby. This last experience pretty much lost me as a customer. I ordered shrimp tempura roll, and specified which ingredients I could consume-which did not come out as desired. When I expressed that I couldn’t eat it with the added ingredient, the cook just scraped it off and gave it back. I have NEVER had that happen EVER! So of course I could not eat it as there were remnants on it, and so I opted to take my business elsewhere! I hope their customer service improves so no one else has to experience this.

Honestly this was a wonderful place to go to for a while until the staff started lacking and started making me do their jobs. Top quality sushi awful people. Also the lady manager (you’ll know her by the awful service) is related to the owner is allowed to treat customers however the hell she wants apparently. So if you want to be disrespected by management who don’t get reprimanded because their blood related to the owner, this is the place for you!

Before you go, here are some things to know:
1. Lots of booth seating. Great for families.
2. Service is bad. Been coming here 6 years. The staff shows very little interest in customers and are more interested in talking to each other or being silent. They show no initiative to deliver value or to go above and beyond. It was us that initiated all contact, as the staff had no interest in approaching us.
3. Some Dishes are very good. Presention is sloppy and unappetizing on some specialty rolls.
All in all, I would recommend going somewhere else or trying the ramen noodle house a couple of spots down. Not worth it.

The most fun my family and I have had eating conveyor belt sushi! Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and great music adds to the atmosphere. This place would be great for date night with drinks or just lunch with friends. Best sushi prices I have seen in Portland and the food is delicious. If you don't see an item you want just ask and they will whip it up and bring it right to you without missing a beat. I think I found my new favorite quick stop for sushi at a great price.
