Hawaiian Grill

Stopped in on a Saturday around noon and it was pretty quiet. Owner is friendly, when I tried to order the pork adobo he said they didn't have it that day and recommended the kalua pork instead. So I ordered that and the spam masubi. I really liked the spam masubi and the kalua pork was pretty good. It would've been better if there was more sauce, it was a little bit dry.

Placed an order via DoorDash for my lunch and when I went to pick up the order at 115pm, the cart was closed with no one answering the phone. Asked the neighboring cart if he knew if they had closed and said they closed at 12. Not sure what the issue was but it would’ve been nice to know that they were closing so I didn’t waste my entire lunch going to a closed food cart that I’d already been charged for.

I love the spicy pork here I always ask for a double helping of pork, skip the macaroni and an extra measure of rice, they never have a problem making your order to your request. As always the prices at all food carts on this lot are reasonable for the food you get and you get a good helping. This cart and every cart along the street serve excellent moderately-priced food.

Growing up on Kauai I like to go around and try all the local hawaiian grinds.. Service was 5 star Portion was 5 star Spam Musubi was about a 3.5 Kalua pig was 1.5 dry and honestly taste nothing like it should Shoyu Chicken was 2 was well just not great Mac Salad was a 2 not like any I have had Rice was 4 Hope this helps.
