Has always been a chill place and the food is good. I like that it's hidden off of Hawthorne so you don't feel like you're in that noise. Highly recommended.

Okay, if you are looking for the best Japanese cuisine in Portland, this ain't it. But the food is always pretty good, the prices are super low, and they're always rocking 90s hits in a way that is amusingly absurd. Just NEVER ORDER THE TEA. They'll try to push it on you. Recon back to the 90s and "Just Say No."

Decent but not wow-amazing food, nice atmosphere, sweet servers. Wish I had more to say about this place, but it was a pretty standard experience. nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about, either.

Good prices, very quick service (our meal was out in under ten minutes) and good food. No complaints at all from me and will likely come again.

The quality and portion size far surpasses the more than reasonable price. The sushi is nothing short of adequate, though the service can be, sometimes, clunky. Definitely a place that breaks down the cult mentality of sushi, returning it to a refreshing finger food status.

Being new to the area we were thrilled to find Toney Bento. The food is tasty with good portion sizes. However, we were overcharged on our credit card. An additional $5 was added to our bill after we left the restaurant.
Very frustrating. We won't be back.
