This place is great! Tons of vegan options and very very good food. I usually get at least 1 umami bomb, the vegan options on special (if available) and the teriyaki tofu. Excellent flavors, fresh sticky rice and it all melds together with joy in your mouth!

Really delighted about this new spot! Their food is delicious and their staff are quite friendly. I appreciate that the housemade spam is nitrate-free.

The only musubi restaurant in Portland! The kombu and salmon musubi are my favorites but they're all good. Check out the daily specials and yummy sides. They'll also bring musubi to your workplace or special event.

The food was good, just not outstanding. Hawaiian street food was how they described it. Huge portion sizes of $3.50 triangles. We tried the curry chicken, the salmon, spicy squid and the macaroni salad and the seaweed salad. Two people, $22.00, so sorta inexpensive. Each triangle is made by pressing rice into a form and putting the fillings in the middle and serving with seaweed paper you pick it up with. Not enough fillings, they put just enough to flavor the whole thing, but you aren't getting a lot of protein, just a lot of rice. The place is small and the atmosphere mundane. I would've cut the kitchen in half and had more tables, of which there really isn't. Just four stools at the counter and a few spots near the windows. Nothing memorable about the art if there was any, I did notice cool antique enamel light fixtures. They can sell beer, but to go only which sucks. A great idea poorly executed, but it's cheap and decent. I'd love it if they put more fillings in.

Small shop with very limited hours. Very limited seating. Food is generally good, with rice balls a speciality. Be careful prices look cheap but add up fast as you order a full meal. Also look carefully for the specials as they can sometimes be hard to find. As long as you order thoughtfully and understand it will cost more than it originally appears this is a great place for a quick and filling alternative to burgers or fast food.

The space is small, but service is always really good and I can't get enough of the spicy tuna-its my favorite for sure! There are several other options though, some without meat. Nothing beats a freshly made meal...even though you can buy some of their options at the local New Seasons.

Absolutely amazing! The Aloha spirit is very much alive here (have good friends and have visited Hawaii) and the people and atmosphere are incredibly welcoming. I tired the Spicy Tuna (which is onigiri) and the Artisan Spam musubi - both made to order and delicious. The price is right and I would easily return again and again - a hidden treasure that will not be hidden for much longer!

I try to get here for lunch at least a few times a month. I work for a company that just started, so we do yet have enough people for delivery, but watch out! It's gonna happen one day. The salt cured salmon and artisanal spam are my favorites, but I usually order a third rotating item. Everything I've had is delicious. They don't have a ton of room inside, but you can get your order to go. They even have specialized wrapping kits that keep the seaweed from getting soggy while in transit. So rad! If you haven't been here yet, go. Seriously... Go!
