Oh, wow. So this was a first visit for us, the menu looked intriguing, and the back patio was even more exciting. Our drinks were slow to come out, and our food came out piecemeal, but that wasn't too problematic. What was problematic was the degradation of service after that point. Getting a second round was night impossible, and took 20+ minutes. . but the real reason for the single star was the way our waiter treated the middle-aged couple sitting next to us. They had ordered 1 cocktail and a soda-water with lime, and waited almost half an hour before asking the waiter what had happened to the drinks. The waiter grumbled something at them, and they decided that they could take their business elsewhere. As they collected their things to go, the waiter appeared tray in hand bearing the drinks in question.. but without any apology for the wait, just a snarky remark. The couple asked for the check, which took even longer to appear. In the meanwhile I had asked for our check, which took about 15 minutes to show up, and then immediately given the check back with my credit card. My wallet (a black billfold) was sitting on top of the table while i waited for my card and the slip to sign. I finally flagged the waiter down after another 10-15 minutes and a few more passes, and he asked me if I was ready to cash out, and reached for my wallet (apparently thinking it was the check). Um, no, you already have my card, and the slip. And another 5 minutes to get that to me to sign. All told, almost 90 minutes for 4 tapas small plates, and 4 drinks, for 4 people. The food and drink were solid and enjoyable, and the menu variety was good. . but the service was simply Not Acceptable. The place wasn't busy enough, there was more than one waiter on the clock, and the sour attitude really took the cake. Or in this case, the small plates.

You really need to be in a very casual mood for this place, and want an eclectic ambiance....We sat outside w a great dane behind us, sand on the floor and people on swings. Just be prepared for friendly chaos. If that's what you like, this is the place for you. It just wasn't what I was looking for....!
