The pad thai and curry were deeeelicious. As good or better than other Thai restaurants on the block.
Lunch on Sunday at noon is not crowded, fast and friendly service, food has amazing flavor! We tried an eel special of the day and it was yummy. The eel was prepared differently than I have had before, even in my travels to Thailand. Highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for new flavors.
If you would like your sinuses to be open before you ride the Amtrak ... Ok, that's not a typical reason to visit Zabpinto!!
That said, the Tom Yum is exquisite. Remember, they mean "hot" when you ask for hot. Their flavors are not wimpy. They are not skimpy either. The soup was loaded - plenty of shrimp. The papaya salad - I ended up taking it to go because the soup was so filling.
If I find myself in Portland again, I'll return to explore the rest of the menu.
Very tasty Thai cuisine! The duck was very well cooked and had a great flavor to it. The curry was awesome too and had a nice sweetness to it.

First time in Portland and first meal at Portland. Came to this Thai place in downtown based off a friend’s recommendation. The food here is very authentic to taste you’d get in Thailand. I’ve only have food like this in Thai-town in Los Angeles. Definitely a good spot to go if you’d like authentic Thai food. Prices are very reasonable too. The portions are a little small but that lets us try more things. Definitely pick from the Thai language menu.
Love coming here for a late night dinner. This places opens late so it was great for my wife and I since we get off work pretty late. Love the variety of food here. Also love the Thai menu that they have which gives you more of the authentic Thai food. Would definitely recommend this place and will be going back often as well.
Went in for lunch, nice ambiance and good selection of Thai food. Duck curry was delish. Papaya salad was a bit spicy for my taste but still enjoyed it. Check this place out.
What a beautiful setting! Great atmosphere! We ordered a few items, including fish cakes. It was exceptionally good! It was flavorful and tasty! Very authentic Thai foods!! I will definitely come again! The service was excellent!!
Great customer service, very commendable. All the food we ordered were sooo great especially the fried rice with crispy pork belly and fried banana, OMG they were so good!
I needed to burn some time while I waited for a friend, what a delightful place to grab some food and read a book. My food was delicious, I took the curry to go, and enjoyed it for two more meals. The Jungle curry was everything it promised and I will be back to visit anytime I'm in Portland. Yum!
Stopped in for a late lunch and I am so glad we found this place! Many of the options can be made vegan. I enjoyed the yellow curry with tofu and it was delicious. Bright and beautiful decor, friendly and fast service. It can be difficult to find restaurants that are open for late lunch these days but thankfully Zabpinto Thai Kitchen is open through the afternoon. I'm already looking forward to my next visit so I can try the pad thai.
