The drinks are perfectly balanced and delicious. Definitely order the deviled eggs. If you grew up in Seattle the burger will remind you of a Dick's deluxe but far far better. All together excellent.
I'd give it 5 stars, but because of the lousy parking, I've got to drop it down a notch. Even the restaurant staff didn't fully know where I could park and where was off-limits. Yes, the items on the menu do seem "imaginative," but it's a pub, for cryin' out loud. Where's the PUB food? I had the cheeseburger, and was very pleased. A few too many fries, tho. Good selection of beers. Would like to go back after they have a chance to find what they're really all about. It was fun going into what used to be an old school in the Portland Public School system, but I think it's too bad they couldn't have made more use of the building. Could have been lots of quirky fun.
We went for opening night. The the atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. Kudos to the chef for a wonderful selection of imaginative entrees and specialty desserts. The wait staff did a wonderful job of seeing to our needs without being pushy. A definite must for an enjoyable experience.
The cocktails and food were amazing and we felt like we were being taken care of by Nerdy Alchemists. Some of the best drinks with the most interesting presentation that we've had in town. The food was incredibly fresh and super zesty.
First visit and I cannot say enough nice things about this place. We went there for Portland Dining Month and ended up ordering half the menu. Everything sounded so good we couldn’t help ourselves. Oysters on the half shell, Brussels sprouts, all of it.
I'm on a road trip and this is the first meal me and my friend had in Portland. I didn't really know what to expect but after eating the roasted cauliflower
and steak and fries I decided that I could eat here every day. Overall outstanding and has set my standards high for other restaurants in Portland.
My friend and I have come here for the last three weekends for brunch and have LOVED it. The food is amazing (try the French toast omg), the waiter is so kind, and there’s never a wait. I’m not sure why more people aren’t coming here for brunch because it’s just really, really good...
One of the most visually attractive restaurants in Portland. Although the menu is small, it's very well prepared and portion size is stomach-filling. Large selection of craft cocktails and beers/ciders.
The bartenders are cocktail geniuses and the chicken sandwich is bomb!
Had the sweetest waitress, brought water out for our dog and was very efficient and knowledgable. Wish I had caught her name. Good food, great beer.
