Botto's Barbecue

Having lived in the South, where BBQ is akin to a religion, I love trying new BBQ places whenever I get the chance. I'm glad I tried Botto's, because this is easily one of the best BBQ places I've ever been to! The brisket sandwich was fantastic. My only mistake was to order 1/4 pound of brisket rather than 1/3! The spicy mac and cheese was fabulous, leaving a nice burn. Luckily, Botto's also has been on tap!

I mean what can I say. 5 stars all around. I have been here twice, once with my neice and once with my mother. We've had the brisket, pulled pork, spare ribs, krinkly fries, pork and beans, greens/sweet pots, Mac and cheese. The meat is so tender and juicy. The service is great and everyone all around including customers have been friendly. We make the trip even though it is about 9 - 12 miles away because of this. Order online to ensure that you can get the food you want before they sell out because they will sell out. Having customers order online means that they aren't wasting any food and keeping within their margins, ensuring that they can stay in business year after year. Smart thinking in my opinion. Got the pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, cheesy brisket hash, and fries. All were delicious, I love coming here. My only “negative” was tonight I asked for the Texas sauce and they gave me white spicy cheddar instead and it was in the cheesy hash so I couldn’t just remove it. Still was delicious, but unfortunate they messed up

Really impressed with the BBQ. The ribs were very moist with the perfect little tug to remove from the bone. The sauce was on the side as it should be when the meat is that well prepared. Sides were great with the beans and spicy mac&cheese the stars at our table. Staff was very friendly and the food was ready quickly. Limited parking behind the building but street parking was available too. It was pretty busy at 1PM on a Wednesday with most of the indoor tables in use and half of the outdoor picnic tables were busy.

Good first experience at Botto's. A friend from St. Louis who knows BBQ recommended it. Not inexpensive but worth it. Friendly staff, calm no-frills inside, counter service but they still come around and check on you here and there. A small group of us split sweet potato collards, Mac & cheese, coleslaw, and pork & beans sides. Each equally tasty. It was Sunday and we went with the burnt tips brisket special for the meat which was excellent! My wife added in a chocolate chip cookie and which looked like it was made with extra butter making it really pancaked and chewy, also delicious.

Our new favorite BBQ place in Portland! Just got take out from here and had it with the family... The brisket is just next level beyond fantastic! The ribs and the honey BBQ burnt ends. Oh yeah... oh so good. We got the mac & cheese and collards with sweet potatoes. Just a wonderful compliment to the overall BBQ experience from Botto's! This IS our new go to place for BBQ and thank goodness it is a relatively short drive from our home to do take out. We ended up doing an online order for pick up and 5pm and it was starting to get busy when we arrived to do the pick up. You can dine in as well now there as they have inside seating and outside for when the weather is nicer.
