Me and my family showed up last minute, and we were accepted immediately by our waitress! She was so friendly and made us feel welcomed! We tried going to the bar next door and they did not try to accommodate us at all, and the second we showed up to cardinal, our waitress took no time to give us the best experience. We wish we got her name to thank her specifically!
Also the drinks were delicious! We will be back for sure.

Was really blown away by this place. We came in for Portland dining month on a whim and the food was top notch. Our bartender was great and really made it a personal experience.
Additionally, the staff worked seamlessly together. Whisking away and replacing silverware and plates throughout the meal in a really professional manner that you don’t see at much more expensive spots in town.
At a loss for words for the food. It flew above expectations. The whole trout over fennel and arugula salad is one of my favourite dishes I’ve gotten to enjoy in portland.

Small restaurant/bar that is cool and quiet. The proprietors were fun and helpful. The drinks were amazing, the food delicious. Margaritas are stellar! Photo is smoked trout pate.
