The fried chicken sandwich (dipped) was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was delicious - so crispy and moist. Honestly just a great balance of savory and fresh flavors. The hot honey fries had a great kick. To top it off, the folks at Yonder were kind enough to gift us a couple servings of banana pudding when we had to wait a few minutes for our takeout order, which was a wonderful surprise. We were really blown away with how good everything was, our only regret was squeezing it in on the way to the airport instead of being able to enjoy right there. (My dad recommended this place to me based off a youtube show he saw, would love to give credit but not sure his source!)

Oh what a delightful place! We had the hush puppies, snazzy cocktails, grits and incredibly tender and flavorful pot roast. (Way more elegant than it sounds 😋 ) Our waiter was fantastic, attentive and helpful and fun. Took dessert to go, a decadent banana pudding that was such a treat. We will be back! So glad we found our way here.

The old fashioned was good, the biscuit was good, the chicken sandwich was good. You kind of needed a cartoon mouth that unhinged to eat the sandwich, though. Wish they had aoli. Also felt like my plate was going to slide into my lap when I was cutting my food, there's no barrier so they should put down a napkin or something for friction. The service and the people were amazing and I loved the atmosphere. The wine pour was super weak. Overall I probably wouldn't recommend but I'd join friends if they were going.

So here’s the thing. Yonder’s food is amazing. Many of the items on the menu looked incredible. Got the chicken and dumplings and the cake of the day along with one of the fried chicken sandwiches. However, the portions are smaller for the price. Sandwich doesn’t come with any salad or fries or side of any kind, and neither did the other entrees. This is a great date night place to go to if you’re willing to spend a little extra for a little less of really good food.

Been to a few fried chicken places in the Portland area and Yonder is one of my favorites. I had the Quarter Bird (dark) - Dusted. I Also had the Bacon braised collard greens and the Pimento Cheese Mac Salad. You can request one of three chicken varieties; dusted with house seasoning, Dipped in vinegary NC sauce, or Hot Nashville style. The chicken comes with their angel biscuit and served sorghum butter. The chicken (thigh and drumstick), although small was tasty, but the angel biscuit and the house butter were amazing. Next time I would love to try their Intimidator Sandwich with the bacon jam. Also in that list is the Sweet Onion Catfish Hush puppies, which is also served with the wonderful sorghum butter. As of late October 2020 they are open for dining and takeout. Masks required when not eating and socially distanced tables. Server was helpful and friendly.

This chicken is stupid DELICIOUS. Crunchy and flavorful outside and oh-so moist on the inside. The biscuits and accompanying sweet butter is heaven and each of the sides have a delicious twist compared to typical fare you'll find at chains or other NW fried chicken restaurants. They're open for to-go and well worth the trip across town!

This was our first experience at Yonder (pick up). Overall, we really like the fried chicken, it was not overly breaded, had great seasoning and was moist. The biscuits were also a highlight. They come with a special butter (salted Brown butter?) Definitely try it. The Mac salad was a bit dry for my preference but had a unique flavor. I liked the greens, although my husband felt they were a little heavy in the salt and vinegar side. Still recommend. It's on the pricier end, but they pay their staff with a livable wage! Go check them out.

This sandwich, the Intimidator, is everything. There’s a perfect harmony of fried chicken, crispy lettuce and a delightful bacon marmalade melted with pimento cheese. In the summer, they serve a bruschetta like biscuits with heirloom tomato slices. The biscuits themselves are solid gold. Dense and yet fluffy, sweet and salty and served with sorghum butter.

Update December 2019: Brunch has been added on weekends. A most delicious variety of cocktails and coffee can accompany your breakfast. Chicken, collard greens and grits were expected and just as delicious as ever. We ordered the catfish and sweet onion hush puppies, biscuits and gravy, the fried chicken plate, coffee (the coffee and tea comes in depression glass cup and saucer) and a roadside farmstand cocktail. The biscuits and gravy were everything I love fluffy giant biscuits that have been split and grilled with a generous portion of country gravy full of meaty goodness. Beautiful venue, not crowded, somewhat family friendly but it is not a kid oriented restaurant. Looking for a place you can actually park and get brunch? Look no farther. Original post 7/4/2019 - It was a delight to get an email for the opportunity for a forth of July bucket. The fried chicken, mac salad, and creamy coleslaw spicy and exactly what one would want to eat with a six pack of lager on a hot July day. Yonder is the brick and mortar for Mae’s dinners. I highly recommended taking the opportunity to go and grab an amazing bucket of chicken!

This place ridiculously cute and cozy! And they have a selection of southern classics that you just don't see often over here. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. It's the kind of place where you want to try everything on the menu, and you can because it's not too big. Just enough options that everyone can find something (gluten free included). The angel biscuits are like nothing else in town! Layered and flakey like a croissant! Sooooo good! And all of the cocktail options sound amazing. I had the hot catfish and let me tell you it was perfectly cooked and soooo good! I can't wait to go back and try something else. I also recommend the sassafras tea. A delicious and pleasant surprise, especially with the lemon squeezed in😋
