Caffe D'arte

2 years later and still the best! I have never been disappointed here. The coffee is always fabulous and the pastries are good. Baristas are great and always friendly. I always come when in Portland. I live in LA and NY and have never found anyplace else with such consistency. And boy have I tried. 2017 back in Portland and still my favorite place for coffee.

This is a good place for a good Italian espresso. I love the bright, over extracted espressos that you get at a good third wave shop in Portland. But if you want a robust, full flavored Italian style espresso, there's just D'Arte, and Park Ave. Cafe. The baristas are very nice, and the facility seems to be a great place to work. When I visited on Sunday there were eight people working on their laptops. I pulled a star because the Doppio shot I ordered came up a bit short, though the chocolate they served with it was a nice touch. I do wish they included a small glass of sparkling water. That's always a nice touch. Verdict: It's not a Portland coffee shop. It's an Italian coffee shop. You should try it to see if that's something you enjoy. Personally, I will be back.

Having been there a number of times now I can honestly say I have no complaints. The staff have been friendly & hard working at each visit. Both the indoor & outdoor seating has been clean and the coffee has been deliciously yummy. I've only had food there once but if I wasn't eating healthy I'd order the almond pastry every time.
