Cute house decorated like we are in a well “Jamaican House”. The food I had pictured (Simba’s Veggie stew w/ Plantains as an extra side + the Dessert) was delicious! I finished every last bit! The chef came over to make sure everything was good with my friend and I, he was very nice! If you like cats, there is a cutie that might greet you♥️

Excellent food! Best damn jerk fish I've had in a long time. Made fresh to order, with delicious sides and a fair price. It was so piping hot I had to let it cool even after getting home with it! Super fresh and high quality. Simba, keep it up brother, you're a treat to the Portland area my man.

7 years running, Jamaica House is clearly built on a foundation of flavor. Seven years! Jerk spices are done with care, not awash in Americanized extras, so you really get a true jerk flavor. Oxtails make your tongue wag. Plan for extra rice to relish the juices. I assume cornbread ("coco bread") is good, but my children eat it too fast for me to get any. Owner/cook is a great guy. He loves making the food, and loves that people love eating the food.

I had lunch there with my girlfriend and it was a really pleasant experience. The owner treated us very kindly. He was very attentive, recommending the dishes according to our tastes and always with a smile. It's a pleasure to meet people who transmit that joy and good vibes.

We found this spot online and by the time we drove there it was almost closed. Yet, we had the biggest welcome as we entered and didn’t feel like an inconvenience. We really appreciate the encounter, exceptional service. The owners were so pleasant and nice. We also chatted a bit with the young lady that took our orders, very customer friendly. The place was colorful, cozy and felt like island vibes. Food was almost done but we left with satisfied orders. We ordered the curry goat and oxtail, included cabbage and sweet plantains, full of flavors and meat falling off the bones. Also, ordered some Pattie’s cause we haven’t had any since we left FL. It’s been hard to connect with island foods in this area. We can’t wait to go back. We’re so glad to have found this spot. Highly recommend.

Home-like atmosphere, home style cooking, great service and affordable! I had the curry goat with a side of plantains. Portion size was just the right amount. I would definitely go back again so I can try other stuff on the menu.

Chill place and cool owner. I recommend the Jamaican meat patties. It's kind of like a pizza pocket filled with meat, but so much better than a pizza pocket. Change your world good.
