My family and I decided to have dinner before we headed to a show at PSU. Karam was a great choice because not only do they serve delicious food, but it is easy walking distance from the Lincoln Center on campus.
We arrived around 5:30 pm at the restaurant. It wasn't too busy at that point on this particular Saturday. However, as the evening went on, the place started to get packed.
The food and service here were excellent. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. My sister's boyfriends and I can eat. An entree and appetizer here was more than enough to satiate our large appetites. Also, if you love hummus, make sure to check theirs out. It is delicious.
If you are ever by PSU and are craving some Middle Eastern/Lebanese food, look no further than Karam!

Good food and service.
I did notice they added a junk fee to the check, not cool.
Just be aware that downtown Portland can feel unsafe with so many homeless drug addicted people swarming around.
We just used the penthouse venue for a company party and it was fabulous. We had a visitor from our European office in Germany and he was impressed. I worked with Karam on the menu, which included dishes for some of our vegetarians. I have been visiting Karam since it was at the old location. The food turned out beautifully as always. The double sided fireplace was a hit. It was a chilly night and one side of it faces the large nicely furnished terrace. We had such a good time we are going to do it again in the summer.
Amazing Lebanese food with a nice interior, the dip sampler with baba ganouj and hummus was fantastic. The pita chips were addicting, i've never had fried pita that was so light and crispy. Highly recommend the meat trio, the lamb was delicious and rice was cooked perfectly. Also the Lebanese soda is very light and refreshing. Only issue was we didn't have any silverware or napkins when our food came out and it took about 10 minutes to wave down a server since they were so busy. We will definitely come back and try more though! ✌🏾
My wife and I rented Karam’s penthouse in Sky3 for our wedding reception. The space was spectacular, even with a little rain. There’s a gas fireplace that mirrors both the living room and outdoor area. Karam and his wife catered our 50-person event, and were incredibly gracious and kind. Many of our guests claimed it was the best Lebanese food they’d ever had, and I’m hoping it generates business for these wonderful people. There was also Bluetooth for my iPhone to play music, and a flat screen TV I was able to hook my laptop to for a PowerPoint slideshow. It was truly a night to remember, and Karam made it all possible. We’re so happy!
Loved loved loved this place! The food was so fresh, flavorful and so tasty. I am going to stop by this place every time I visit Portland and would recommend you do the same. You won't be disappointed. Along with the food, we had two refreshing cocktails - Arabian breeze and Arak and ended the meal with Turkish coffee.
Fresh food, tender and perfectly cooked meat, appropriate portions, delicious and tasty. Pita bread was super soft. Would highly recommend the mezza platter. Service was great. Loose leaf tea was good and at bar.
Amazing place, so yummy 😋🤤
The bread and the tabbouleh was so delicious, the rice was also very tasty. I can't wait to go back, the waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. 5 stars❤️😍
Everything was delicious! We had a mezza plate appetizer, shwarma, awarma and salad. Fresh, delicious, fast and friendly service. Don't be afraid to go to downtown Portland--restaurants need us!
Nice and clean interior. I love eggplants but unfortunately their eggplant roll was bitter and had too much tahini. Falafel burger and Chicken Shawarma was good.
