Tough Luck

I’m a Dog Walker Volunteer at OHS on Wednesday nights and TL has been our favorite place to go afterward and even for our bigger monthly birthday celebrations! Getting a reservation is seamless! Their large variety of beers and cocktails as well as amazing food makes this place a No Brainer! And their staff is super amazing!! Especially bartender Crystal!

Excellent neighborhood bar with friendly staff and awesome food! They have options for every craving and dietary preference, and the food comes quick. Along with a legendary cocktail menu and a great selection of local taps, you won't be disappointed by the drink options either. Venture to the 'hood and bring some friends. Trivia night and daily specials too!

I've never even darkened this door. I'm living curbside across the street. However, this wee neighbourhood spot is a joy to observe. Monthly Trans Brunch is only one event here. Come one come ALL. Even I got invited. So, I have no knowledge of staff, food and the like, I can say if would be fuNFun to to make it my local. Cheers

The atmosphere was very dark, loud, and too much bass in the speakers. The website has an outdated menu so my wifes drink of choice wasn't available. The grilled cheese had thick bread and nice cheese but the tomato soup was chunky and not seasoned too well. The fries were hot and crispy and had a great salty flavor to them. The others liked their fish and the wings were good as well. The pecan hot lemon tottie didn't have a lot of pecan in it at all. Slow service, but there was only one bartender working so it was understandable.

Everyone here is cheery and easy going, they have a great selection of beer and well made cocktails. I come here for lunch because the food is fantastic and it's not too expensive. The outdoor areas are well maintained and they just added some additional awnings for shade on hot days or to keep you dry if it starts raining.

I’m from out of town and stopped by Tough Luck because it was down the street from my Airbnb. The large patio space was super nice and the indoors was relaxed with TVs, music and nice air flow. I enjoyed a couple cocktails that were both unique and tasty. I snacked on the mixed olives which came with super good toasted bread. I had friendly interactions with the employees. I would definitely visit again next time I’m in town.

Food was solid, but probably wouldn't order the mac and cheese again. Fries were really yummy and so was roast beef sandwich. Perfect place for those Portlanders who are way more Portland than you cause they've been here 2 more months. If you're over college bars but still jocking your parents cash to buy whatever style your media influencers tell you to, congratulations you're home. Went on a Fri. They had a live DJ and as always shuffle board.
