Quaint hidden little “speakeasy” with dozens of kombucha flavors available in self serve format. Friendly staff, welcoming and cozy atmosphere, very chill. Favorites were the spearmint lemongrass and passionfruit guava.

A PDX must visit! We loved the self-serve format. SOMA may also boast one of the most massive selection of kombuchas I have ever seen. They seemingly have every possible flavor under the sun- pomegranate, blueberry, rose, turmeric, lemon, ginger — with new additions every Wednesday. Importantly they do not compromise their QUALITY- the brews are light, naturally fizzy, gently sweet while maintaining that subtly yeasty and vinegary quality that defines kombucha . And of course- They’re also extraordinarily generous with their free samples. You get a cup and can sample as much as you want with the self service machines until you make a decision

The kombucha is super tasty and plenty of varieties. The ambiance is cute for a speakeasy and a relaxing place to stay a while. Best part is getting to sample the flavors and pick out what is most appealing that day. I've started exploring some of the other Soma kombucha taprooms after starting here.

Been looking for a refill kombucha taproom since moving to Portland. Luckily I drove by Soma. Friendly staff, tons of flavors, and a great $3 bottle exchange system. Def recommend if you’re in the area. Thank me later.

This place was amazing!! Hidden gem for sure! We were exploring around St John's on a hot summer day and looking for something refreshing... lucky enough we stumbled upon SOMA! Cute and cozy Kombucha Speakeasy. You definitely have to go searching for it, but it is worth it. They've got a handful of flavors on tap. You can taste and try as many as you'd like. Then when you're ready you can fill up your little bottle, even mix and match!! We were also impressed by the different flavors or elixirs you can choose from. Definitely recommend checking it out!!

Nice, laid-back atmosphere, keeping Portland weird. I'm used to tart kombucha, which I like, but this stuff is not as acidic as others. That's not to say it's not flavorful; they have a lot of interesting flavors, but even the original, unflavored variety is very satisfying.

Very Yummy Kombucha fresh on tap. Not sure which to choose? Not a problem. There are little sample cups. Great atmosphere. I love relaxing on the floor seating. The simplistic decor allows our over stimulated brains to relax. easy 5*

The soma speakeasy is fun and really unique, I don't want to give anything away, but give it a try and hang out while you drink your kombucha! There are growlers available if you'd like to take a some with you!

Interesting flavors, and quiet relaxing environment! You do have to take your shoes off though. They offer a small selection some raw vegan to-go food as well.

I almost don't want to give this such a great review because I love that it's a hidden gem! BUT this is such a fun, quaint spot with the best kombucha! A tasting area that's self serve makes it easy to get exactly what you want yet hard to choose because they are all so tasty!! All of the staff are humble, happy and helpful!
