Allan's Authentic Mexican Restaurant

I have tasted Mexican food in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Montana. Few places compare to Allan's. The food was high quality and well-flavored. The service was friendly, albeit a little slow (which I think contributed to a more relaxed atmosphere, and could be attributed to the careful preparation of higher quality food). The more selective members of my family were impressed. We will be returning.

The first thing that called to us on our night out was the decor. The vibe is amazing. Seating is well spaced. Staff is very friendly. The food came out quick and the presentation was awesome. The chips and salsa were refilled often and our water glasses were never empty. I would recommend this place to any friend. It’s great. (Get the nachos - you won’t regret it - no naked chips.)

Everything was excellent! The chile relleno was excellent. Both sauces are great the red is a bit more bold and deep and the green is more bright and fresh. Both great! I haven't had mole sauce this good in 20+ years. I grew up in California where there were/are many great Mexican food places. This reminded me of the authenticity that I remember. It's very refreshing to eat at a Mexican restaurant that isn't your typical American/Mexican hybrid. I ate my whole plate and maybe the ingredients are more fresh but I don't feel like I need a nap. Filling but not the bloated effect. This is our new spot for Mexican food. So very delicious! Do yourself a favor and go here, you won't be disappointed.

Love love love this place. I live down the street and have been wanting to try them for a couple years. Their menu is not like any other menu but trust me, totally worth it. My husband is obsessed with their shrimp tamale (he subs shrimp for chicken) because it has this amazing sauce on it. Their burritos are HUGE, can can multiple meals out of them. We love their salsa they serve as well and I highly suggest you try the pompano rice 🤤 after picture attached because I forgot to take a before 🤣

We had a phenomenal time. We sat near the bar and the bar tender was so freaking kind to my 4year old. He was making some shaken drinks for some other patrons. She was very intrigued. He then made her not one but two shaken apple juices at the table with the strainer and all. The guacamole and all of entrees were outstanding. I had the nacho’s my wife had the shrimp enchiladas and my mother in law had the mushroom enchiladas. The customer service as a whole was awesome! The pricing was very reasonable!

I’m a big Mexican foodie and this is definitely a new fav spot!!! I got basic carne asada tacos and they were amazing. The blended margs were a plus too! Love whatever house made hot sauce they had as well. We also ordered the savory churros & a steak burrito and it was all so tasty definitely recommend :)

I brought my family to Allan’s and was extremely happy to find flavorful Mexican food and great service. I got the Beef Aguachile and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time, chef knows what they are doing. Coming from San Diego the bar is set high for Mexican food. Leo is an amazing owner and took the time to say hello to us personally. Will be recommending Allen’s and definitely will be coming back!
