Nectar Cafe

Pretty new business, but really great atmosphere and environment. Always end up finding myself in some good conversation. Some pretty creative DJs come along too. All sorts of stuff... soul, jazz, underground hip hop, 80s, house, techno, mushroom jazz, disco, italio, punk, new wave... tacos are pretty good, great meatless options available too. And best part... icee machine cocktail drinks in the summer-time! Lots of beautiful plants too.

We weren't eating at the Sonder Bar, but great drinks and man, great great music. Had a really nice conversation with Tyson. Great guy. This is a place run by nice and able people. Which is a rare combination nowadays... When I'm in Portland again, this surly is a location I will go to again. Thanks for the music.

I go here all the time! the food is wonderful, and so filling. I am not vegan myself but I find this food far more enjoyable than anything else I've had in the area. The smoothies are always such a sweet treat (not that I need them, but I can't help myself). I love the atmosphere, and the support for local artists all around the place. It is a little expensive, but I find it worth it for the quality of the food and the experience. perf spot for dates, it's really the only place me and my boyfriend go anymore!

I randomly came across this cafe and it was great. The service was fantastic and everything is vegan. I ordered the Bahn Mi, which I’ve been craving for awhile. The bread stayed remarkably crunchy during my entire lunch and the tofu had a terrific almost smoky taste. I’d also recommend the London Fog with oat milk and a touch of lavender sweetener. Delicious!

You had me at vegan berry compote waffle 😍 I came here with my friend for a final brunch before my flight back home. We had originally wanted to go to another brunch spot with some vegan pancakes but they required reservations and were all out until the afternoon. No dice. Undeterred, my friend pulled out her phone and found this gem! I got the berry compote waffle (was debating the Elvis waffle bc of the peanut butter but if you are a berry fanatic like me, you won’t regret the berry compote), and wow YUM. I think my friend got a half of the savory waffle and mushroom which was actually quite good too but mine was better :) I took away the other half of my order so I had something for lunch/dinner on the plane! My friend also got a smoothie but I can’t remember which one. I do remember that I got the wellness elixir shot, which I was apprehensive about but wanted to try because “it must be good for me!” It actually tasted pretty good to my surprise, and the apple was great afterwards to help with the spicy cayenne (thanks to the server for recommending it!) would also highly recommend that for a good wake up shot. Anyways, yum I’m actually happy the other brunch place was all reserved up so I could experience this delicious berry waffle and also feel better about myself with a good ole healthy shot. The food was really good and generously portioned. The vegan menu has several things I want to go back and try. My girlfriend and I were very happy with the food. The vegan sausage had some nice spices in it and waffle had crispy outside and soft inside. There was a service snafu but was very accommodating when rectifying the situation. I will be going back at some point in the not too distant future.

My favorite place in Oregon!!! Love the atmosphere of this small place, stuff is very friendly. Smoothies are well combined with all good ingredients, very tasty. Had their potato pancake, it’s the most awesome breakfast I had. And the Apple pancake was awesome too. Anyways, easily a 5 star place. Now every time I come to Portland I’ll visit this place!
