If you are looking for or interested in trying good traditional Ethiopian food I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and they were very helpful with talking through what was best to order based on preferences. She explained spice levels and vegetarian versus meat options. The coffee was very good as well and served in a traditional manner. Yum.

But what truly steals the show is the traditional coffee ceremony. Watch in awe as they pour your coffee from a jebena pot into tiny cups – it's a feast for the senses.
Very delicious and an enjoyable experience. While I'm not personally accustomed to the more sour flavor profile that Ethiopian food seems to consist of, the food was well-made, tasty, and there was plenty of it. The two nice ladies who were there working when we came in were simply charming and very hospitable.
I would recommend eating here if you are interested in trying Ethiopian food or if you are accustomed and love it.
Looking for an authentic and delicious Ethiopian restaurant in Portland?? This is it! Good vibes all around. Love the fresh roses. The server who took my order was helpful and patient with my questions. We enjoyed both of the vegetable combinations and the lamb Derek tibs. So good and reasonable prices for the amount of food!
Love this restaurant so much. The service and the food are excellent. I usually get the veggie combo with red lentils and beets. I occasionally get the lamb. Delicious all around!

We have been to several other Ethiopian restaurants in the area and this is our favorite. We always enjoy the food and the service. Our go to is the veggie combo, beef combo and door wat. This is great for 3-4 people and gives you a little of everything.
I’m happy that they specify their injira is gluten-free! We ordered takeout. The food was ready on time. Splitting three dishes between two people, we had plenty of leftovers. Would highly recommend for quality Ethiopian food.
I haven’t had Ethiopian in a decade, and where I live it’s completely unheard of. I’ll be honest, no idea what we ordered besides it being beef and some wonderful veggies, but all of it tasted great. We also got a huge portion that we couldn’t even get through half of it. The folks here are kind and the atmosphere feels like a nice casual spot for an easy date night.
Delicious 😭 aberus combination, lamb awaze tibs, key wot. Highly recommend the awaze tibs, sizzling and crisp, straight from the fast iron onto the plate. very fluffy injera as well.
Tables are well spaced out. There were small vases with roses at each table, which was a nice touch
