A really fine little place with a limited menu, but as far as I can tell, all excellent, prepared with care and skill. Though attached to the hostel, all are welcome here. Pictured is the delicious Cobb salad.

I forgot what we ordered but this place seemed a lot less busy than I would think. The food was top notch. It's a quaint quite little coffee shop decorated elegantly. It was so calm and relaxing inside. Seemed like everyone was happy. The rainy day suddenly seemed sunny from inside. We got coffee at another place but ordered food. I got a breakfast burger and my wife got a breakfast bowl with sweet and reg potatoes. Very filling and nice presentation. We'd eat here again. But not for a while because we have more places to try! Not many places have breakfast burgers so I was happy to get one before the Japanese garden. We were 10 mins away by car at this Cafe. Part of the reason we chose it!

Super nice welcoming folks there. I wasn’t a guest there, but I have traveled extensively & know how important this friendliness can be for The Lonesome Traveler. Thanks for this! I also had a ginger cookie that was super nice. I’ll definitely be returning for their various social events.

This is a cafe associated with the NW Portland Hostel. The food is good and the people are very friendly. The atmosphere is nice. I've always met nice people to chat with while eating or drinking coffee. I had something called an Autumn Fog (a London Fog with earl grey and cardamom) that was fantastic.

Quiet spot for weekday breakfast. Breakfast sandwich was yummy and cost $10. The seasonal hot apple cider was $4.50 and delicious. The barista asked if I liked my hot chocolate on the sweet side or the none sweet side. I’ve never been asked that question but I really appreciated it! It’s clear from the taste that the drinks here are made with intentionality. A side of roasted potatoes was $4. The place is kind of small but very clean and the staff are very helpful and kind. It’s not really a sit and stay forever kind of place although there were some people working there and using the space like a coffee shop. Most people came and went only staying 15 min or so. Great option if you’re in the area!

Late night cafe that's ideal to do work/study and just relax. Music isn't too loud (I hope they keep it that way). The workers seem really nice. There's an outside patio that's quiet too if the weather is good. Good place to be productive or chill. Hard to find parking though

Love this place. Super kind, welcoming environment. Fresh food, made from scratch. And the days with live music from local folks are always a treat. It's a staple!

Attended one of the sessions with my son. Met with friends that I haven't seen for quite some time. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was very friendly.

My wife and I really enjoyed our food here. She ordered the veggie hash and I had the American classic. The vegetarian sausage is extremely good! I think they make their own! Coffee was good. We sat outside with our dog. Good neighborhood, but the road is a major one and can be loud.

Interesting food and beverage options. First off consider the "chagga" latte or chaggachino. It is a coffee alternative made from mushrooms with an interesting flavor. Also they have nice salad options which include local Oregonian hazelnuts. I had a sandwich, it was great. Guitar plays can pick up the guitar off the wall in the back room, but just know that the music will continue to play on the speakers. Additionally, they boast an open mic nice full of musical performers. Honestly this place really packs the punch for quality and creativity.
