The people working here have been consistently awesome. Like all McMenamins the menu options are great and delicious. I can't quite justify five stars for the food though because the cooking of the burgers--a mainstay of all McMenamins--is a bit uneven. Not sure of the cause. I like meat cooked in all kinds of ways so I'm not bothered if there's some rare bits in a medium burger. It's still 4 star delicious. But it is à non-five star thing. Salads are uneven in quality But that's everywhere right now, and has been since covid, so not the fault of the restaurant. This is the perfect place to stop off from the freeway. Family friendly, outstanding fish and chips, out of this world beverages, McMenamins food brightening an area that is pretty depressed and lacking in many alternative good options.

I shared lunch on 6/9/23 with one of my students --a refugee from Ukraine. The staff was patient and friendly with her spotty English. The food was excellent. I was greeted quickly upon arrival. The waiter shared some fun vibes about Portland to our new resident so she felt welcomed and an important part of our community. Thank you!

For a strip mall location, it does a lot to feel comfortable and give off the McMenamins vibe. Comfortable and cozy they have a lot of the common bar fare across the many locations. It's a good Middle ground between Portland and East Multnomah county. It's also close to I205. Great location for meetings and after work get-togethers.
