I tried to find a place having my lunch while I was wondering at Portland city center. I asked the hostess at the Director Park for suggestion. The hostess was very kind and she suggested me to try Alder Street Food Cart Pod a couple of blocks from the Director Park. The food truck parks are popular in Portland. Alder St. Food cart pod has parked more than 20 different food truck there. Most of the customers are locals. There is no seating around the park. All customers carry their food away. I looked around. Huong's Vietnamese food cart was the most popular one Naturally, I decided that would be my choice. I was not disappointed. The take out separated the veggie and food soup for the Pho I ordered. The price was reasonable. I found my table and seat at the Pioneer Square, where plenty of public picnic table was available. I enjoyed my delicious lunch in the city center square.

We came back to this food truck again. Ordered the fried rice, grilled pork noodles salad and grilled chicken. All for $ 21. Fabulous taste and big portion. Very lovely couple cooking all the dishes fresh. They also offered us Jasmine tea while we waited.

This is my favorite food cart in Portland and certainly has the best Bahn Mi. I always get the tofu, and it’s always cooked to perfection. The carrots and the daikon are pickled and add a fresh and crunchy element to the sandwich. Adding peanuts is optional. The sandwich does have fresh sliced jalapeños, so if you’re not able to handle spicy, ask for without. Dreaming of the next time I go.

I LOVE this food cart. Growing up Vietnamese American, I have honestly had a difficult time finding a good five star Vietnamese restaurant in Portland. I'm always disappointed in some way... So far I haven't been disappointed with Huong's. I could imagine there may be "better" places out there, but this is a food cart that is worthy of any, if not all, your lunch breaks. The portions are huge and the quality of each meal is beyond their $7 marked value. I'll admit, as a vegetarian, I've only tried the soups & curry, but let me say they are near perfection. Huong's has recently taken the top spot on my favorite food cart list. Make sure you bring some cash because unfortunately they don't accept card.

I lived in Vietnam and ate everything in sight. I’d give Huong’s 10 stars if I possible! The pumpkin soup was perfect and the portion was big!

This is one of the best food carts in town. The Pho Bo, salad rolls, Bahn Mi sandwich and fried rice are amazing. I just wish they took credit cards as I know they would get so much more business (at least from me because I rarely carry cash). Check out the tofu salad rolls - especially if you've never been into tofu before; they will convert you. Whatever they do to it is magic. I go out of my way for this cart often. Added bonus; they are always super friendly and happy to see you. Pricing is competitive with surrounding carts serving similar dishes.

The beef pho was good (the meatball was awesome); the spring roll had a good amount of meat and vege. I would come back.

Fantastic #2: Pumpkin soup. Super creamy sweet curry sauce. The gentleman provided a free cup of hot tea while I waited. Will return soon.

(Food Cart): The Bahn Mi is an amazing deal. One of the biggest I've seen and only 4$. To top it off, it's delicious, they can make it spicy, and they don't charge for extra cilantro. This place earned their stars.
